Just got it last week.
must say it has quite improved compared to previous model.
so much slimmer than older models of T series ...
and still as durable as ever.

hi guys need expert advises.... using a T40 from my gf... i realise that the top 1 inch of the screen is having some problem. dunno any of u T40 series ppl notice anot... it's like ur Internet explorer the screen there has some cubes... dun really know how to explain by some T41 -1FA user and T40 72A users will notice.
also when i look at the wallpaper i see 1 whole line of from left to right like running lines...
guys any advise????

also 1 more problem. i am using my wireless now... but somehow
the Intel pro/wireless 2100 monitor says that my radio is off... and when i press the FN+F5 thing it says it has no wireless radio.
any idea how to solve this problem??? does not want to restore to my factory default.

try changing ur display colour settings to 32bit..

my fren's T41 1FA got this prob...i juz change the display settings and it was gone..

Just bought a 2nd hand 2 months old 2372-1FA ram upgraded to 512 Mb and also changed HDD to Hitachi 5400rpm 60GB.

remove your driver for your wi-fi and do a clean-up of driver provided in the ibm folder den reinstall it tat should do it

By the way do u all agree in the designs of thinkpads that people either love it or hate it........

cos all my frens to keep telling me bout fujitsus and toshibas....

however, i juz like thinkpads......cos they really have the best keyboards and in my opinion really timelessly stylish

IMO,

IBM is in a class of it's own, u look at a silver laptop, it can be fujitsu or acer or compaq or some other brand, u an never really tell... but look at a TP man, one look, u can tell it's a IBM....

and also, 3 yrs no questions asked warranty... hee hee, i tried with the USA IBM warranty, very very fast response and helpful, tink will send my laptop in for repairs, due to H/D "damage" hee hee.... just to see their service how...

also i just love the IBM, makes me look so professionial... as an engineer lar that is.. hee hee...

next in line, a PowerBook... hee hee, another classy machine.
