IBM think pad T42 graphics card

hi, can sopmeone pls advise if I am able to change the 32 MB ATI mobility radeon 7500 card to 64MB? it is too slow for playing games.

no way, the graphic card or rather the chip is solder on the board. There is no way u can chnage it. might u can find some software to tweak the setting. but tweak it at ur own risk.

Download and install Intel Chipset Support from IBM website. It will solve your problem.

i think IBM doesn't supply any recovery cds other than the Windows recovery cd... everything's in a hidden part of the hard disk... if u wanna access that part of hard disk start ur computer then when u see the prompt "if u wanna interrupt the normal startup, press enter or the blue access IBM button", do so...

by the way, new IBM T42 user here... best laptop i've ever owned so far ...

Yup!! IBM laptop don't come with Recovery Disk. If you wan to own a set of the disk, you can call IBM helpdesk to buy from them directly, which some ppls still do so cos they are not use to it.

Yes that take away about 5G space that you purchase with the package.
When you buy a Thinkpad, always discount this size from the official spec.
