Tricky Technical Issue

This issue is somewhat technical, hope u guys can help.

I have this thinkpad edge. I am using a main pc to control a few laptops/pcs using Win2Vnc. The main PC is using standard 102 keyboard.

However it seems that my thinkpad is using non-standard keyboard.

The problem is that the ctrl click I send via Win2Vnc from my main pc (using standard keyboard) to the Thinkpad is not recognized. The ctrl clicked is recognized when used on other laptops and pcs.

Thanks alot for reading.

ThinkVantage Toolbox for battery maintenence

Thinkpad comes with a battery maintenence module in the power manager.

The battery maintenence module allows customized charging ie I set it to charge when battery level drop to 8%. It should not charge when battery level is like at 50%.

However this module is sort of unstable, it sometimes works and sometimes not ie sometimes the battery is charging even before battery level drop to 8%.

Any advice?

Can I turn of the charging function manually?

First signs of initial battery wear happened recently.

Cycle Count : 348
Battery wear: 5.2% of 56,160 mWh
Usable Capacity: 53,220 mWh
Age: 1 year

Assuming the condition of the battery does not deteriorate suddenly in the future, i should be able to pass the manufacturer-stated 500 cycle count lifespan without much wear.

Fellow thinkpad users, treat ur battery well and there will be minimal battery wear along the way :)

Your battery health is good. Mine is like taking a wear level of 13+% after 6 months of use. Same 6 cell.

1) Start the window normally
2) Restore window setting.

How come it happen? IEverytime I shut down properly.

Is it very persistent? Frequent BSOD is a sign of hardware issues... i suggest you call up Lenovo/IBM service centre.
