ceecookie,

Did you do a battery calibration? Mind sharing how you maintain the battery's condition?

Is it very persistent? Frequent BSOD is a sign of hardware issues... i suggest you call up Lenovo/IBM service centre.

Not very persistent. Today have on-off my w510 for about 3 times. Nothing happens so far.

Anything I will update here. Thanks for everyone's advices. :)

Any guys can answer the previous questions?

This issue is somewhat technical, hope u guys can help.

I have this thinkpad edge. I am using a main pc to control a few laptops/pcs using Win2Vnc. The main PC is using standard 102 keyboard.

However it seems that my thinkpad is using non-standard keyboard.

The problem is that the ctrl click I send via Win2Vnc from my main pc (using standard keyboard) to the Thinkpad is not recognized. The ctrl clicked is recognized when used on other laptops and pcs.

Thanks alot for reading.

oki cannot help u cause i dunno exactly wat u mean. but when i see win2vnc it reminds me of my sec sch the lab. the lab tech will control all our machines so we cannot use mIRC... nb! :D anyway this one i really dunno. lol sorry i cant help u.

Basically it is like this.

I use another PC (Master) to remote control my Thinkpad (Remote). However when I try to send the Ctrl button via the Master, the Remote cannot register the keyboard action. All other buttons such as A - Z, shift, space etc are ok.

It seems that the thinkpad Ctrl button is different from a normal keyboard.

Thinkpad keyboard layout are different from a conventional one. Ctrl and Fn keys are swapped so when u are pressing the ctrl of the normal one, it is registering as a "fn" in the thinkpad's.

HELP!!! Touchpad and trackpoint DIED

Hi all the tech gurus out there, i need some help here.

My wife's T60's touchpad and trackpoint suddenly died and cannot use.

I tried to use the keyboard to go and access the settings, but it seems that they have not been disabled (set at automatic).

so how? what is the next step? is this a hardware problem? Cos her keyboard also has a stuck key...

Thanks in advance :D:D:D

not sure wat you really need, but try this:
ThinkPad Edge has the F1-F12 keys position changed to 2ndary function; main function will be more for media use.
upon start, hold "Fn" and hit F1 to go to BIOS, look for keyboard properties, swap the F1-F12 function back to default and see if it solve your issue.

2ndly, also change the Ctrl and Fn location.

Hi, I have difficulty ejecting my Starhub 3G dongle from my X201 after usage. It does not prompt me that it is safe to remove. Does anyone experience the same problem?

Thinkpad edge 13 WAN antenna cable

Hi Dasanyuan,

I wanted to install a mini pci WAN card into the thinkpad edge 13.

However I found that the antenna cable and RF connector for me to connect to the WAN card is missing. I thought Edge 13 supposed to be 3g ready.

Do you know whether the antenna is supposed to be there?

Can the service centre install it for us?

http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/63y0744.pdf, page 77.

Thanks
