IMO, if you're considering a netbook, might as well go hunt for a x60 or x61? The x60/1 will be slightly more pricey (about $800-ish with warranty) but I'm sure you won't regret the quality of the Thinkpads. I had a Dell latitude 2100 but I still got drawn back to my x31 everytime .... The PM 1.3Ghz processor does not feel inferior to the Atoms. The only downside is the 4200rpm HDD on the x31 ....
Hard disk is not an issue. Can always up it with a second hand 5400rpm disk. :D

Any bros here interested in an original 9 cell Li-ION battery for IBM Thinkpad T4x/R5x? No more warranty.

The battery is hardly used and since I have already gotten rid of my old T42, I don't see a point keeping it anymore.

Battery health is still good as I only used a few times. <Can't remember the exact charge cycles and full charge capacity though.>

Interested parties, please drop me a PM to discuss.

Hi bro, unfortunately I have sold off my T42 already.

So am unable to give you the exact numbers.

My 64bit comp now acted like 32bit. The recent bios for W510 (bios version 1.20) did not identify my OS as 64bit. Ram usable 3.06gb. LOL. Waiting for new bios release.

1)Are you using 64bit OS on 64bit Comp?
2)If you want to get new firmware fix must "feedback" otherwise they wouldn't know.

Ahhh correct. The only way you can take snapshot is using 3rd party software. Such as youcam or others.
