For example 2k USD.
$2k USD = 2.66k SGD X 7% = 186.20 + 30 shipping
Round up = $2.876-2.9k for high specs.

Still consider cheaper than SG basic specs lol

Yes. SG’s price is way too high. Even after paying taxes and shipping we still save quite a fair bit.

Sorry to interrupt here.. But if you were to consider the lead time to order, 2weeks, shipping to a forwarder maybe another 1week, then shipped back to Sg 1week. If taking all these into consideration, wouldn't paying a bit more to get the unit a bit more worthwhile..?

I am keen in getting the X1 Yoga, but still undecided between ordering online and getting from Local. Been reading a lot of delayed and cancelled cases holds me back from placing ordering online...

Very simple, getting in local for standard specs only, hardly to upgrade display selection as you need.
If buy online you might do customise for your own specs.

So did anyone successfully ordered from US yet? Which payment option and forwarder did you chose?

Might be pulling the trigger soon..

Anyway have a smaller tips for you to decide FHD or WQHD or HDR screen.

If you can don't stick with FHD it's outclassed display , the display too brightness.
If compare to WQHD display.

I am tempted to hit the 500nits + 16GB RAM for X1 Yoga. Need to figure out the steps to placing an online order and way to shipped back.

Another thing is, read from some post, that Lenovo tend to delay and cancel the online order. :(

I am contemplating between the wqhd anti glare 300nits and the HDR wqhd. I saw ur photos comparison. Is the T460 on anti glare also? I like the anti glare but would love the colours on the hdr. I won't be using outdoor so I am not sure if I need the 500 nits.

HDR given true colours were too rich, red , blue , green all popping out in sRGB 100 percent.
HDR display were Glossy surface Vs WQHD were anti-glare Matt surface.
Actually from WQHD was sRGB 98 percent nothing too bad.
To compare Acer Swift 5 FHD Vs T460s WQHD still the best, in-term of colors and brightness control for whole display when viewing in longer periods.

BTW my HDR brightness set on 65% only, otherwise it's too bright.

I just want to make some enquiries.

Im buying a yoga 920 laptop from us site but under their warranty section they don't have an international warranty option unlike other laptops.

I spoke their consumer staff via the chat they told me to get the machine first and then speak to their warranty department to extend the warranty. But they cannot guarantee if I can extend.

They did tell me the 1 year warranty they have does cover internal parts internationally.

My question is despite not having the option, do you guys think they allow extension of warranty.

Anyway they are doing a good deal now. Its about 1.5k usd not shipped, maxed spec. 8550u, 16gb ram, uhd display, 1tb ssd.

Sg sells about 2.8k sgd max spec with 3 year adp.

Can try to look on eBay have more choices , there has plenty seller selling old stock in brand new condition, even the warranty still remains on 3 years.
But you can easily extended to international warranty as well.
The seller will ship it back by UPS under eBay.
I got mine intel i5 6200U , 8gb and 180gb SSD , it's great machines, everything was superb.

For whose plan to get cheaper X1 Carbon 6th gen in US or MY only.
Australia X1 6C is cheaper but warranty not as cheap as SG.
The rest X280, T480s Sg price not that bad.
If think about the previous models like T460s or X270 or X1 Carbon 5th Gen still cheaper in US ebay or Amazon.

Such as Used unit , more or less standard specs can easily get from carousell or Lazada as well.

Bugis challenger? The basement one.
I forget it is s or not.
Really up to you as I was there yesterday thinking a look
at E480/T480.

I agree locally prices are expensive but if you add shipping
than it maybe not worth.
