How can I get Thinkpad X61 recovery discs for Windows XP Professional so I can reformat and replace the existing Vista OS?

Do you have the downgrade license for Win XP?

If not, you can purchase Win XP from SLS. Very cheap. Only $200+ for Pro version. Buy it before Microsoft decide to withdraw the s/w from retail shops.

get it from authorized dealers or service centre.
if yours is Vista Business or Ultimate, no need to buy new licence for XP

check AddOn & newstead too. last week just got 2 sets of X201 Tablet from AddOn for my customers.

X201s is also available from them.

BTW. How to obtain 64bit OS that is preloaded in the T series. As all are having 32bit.

Try to call up Lenovo service center to see if they allow you to loan the 64 bit recovery DVD to load.

X201 start from $2680 to $3000, depending on specs.


Edling > X201 Tablet $3299. this price one no Finger-touch display (can use stylus only). have higher specs with finger-touch but need to indent. to the users they dun mind no fingertouch since using stylus is more accurate.

it is hard to get the internal BT module and the webcam module, plus for the webcam you might even need to change the whole lcd cover sometimes.

just get those mini USB Bluetooth adapter. webcam get your own preferred choice will do...

I saw the webcam slot on top of the screen. It can be placed inside. Was just wondering does Lenovo provide accessories addon.
Even the fingerprint reader also, it was covered up with a piece of plastic.

yup, i know wat u mean... just that:
- lenovo do not sell those spare parts in singapore.
- to get those parts via other means is not easy and cost a lot of $$$. each of them cost more than $100, already checked b4.

unless you wanna try your luck on ebay overseas etc...
