Anyone bought Thinkpad from USA? Is the warranty claimable in SG?
They darn well better honor it, else whats the point of International Warranty? Haha. Yes, the local Lenovo Service Center will give you support as long as the warranty is in force.
was quoted for 2700 for T420s![]()
i think addon in funan has it. i got one of my x201i thereT420s is out already? Which shop you went to?
You are wrong in International warranty. Many Thinkpad sold in USA is covered with depot warranty only. Just like Lenovo sold in this region. Many of them covers only regional warranty only.
Same case you will find those Lenovo (may be other brand too) you bought in China (and sometime Hong Kong). The warranty only covers China/HongKong/Macua only.
Not surprising. Isn't it the same for any other latest tech? But then again, since we dont know the specs, how can we determine if its over priced. It could well be cheap if it comes with a 128GB SSD, 8GB ram, discrete graphics...etc
At $2700, it cannot have SSD and 8G ram for sure. Thinkpad price is usually higher then most notebook in the market. The only better spec may be the screen resolution. May be it is higher then HD spec.
Also do not forget it usually come with 3 years warranty (yes, you actually pay for the warranty) and Win 7 professional.
Latest tech? May be not. Now a day PC is mostly either Intel chip or AMD. Technical spec is mostly around the same with a few different like battery, LCD etc.
