Hope you guys can help me out here. I have a IBM R50 with wireless b capability.

Can I just buy this and replace my current wireless card? I do know how to disassemble my thinkpad, but I'm concerned if the antenna in my r50 supports wireless G.

Also, has anyone successfully revived their old CCFL/inverters for their LCD screens? :)
Shouldnt be an issue. However, do check the part number (if you can check it from the seller) against the R50 service manual to double confirm that it is supported.

hi,

does anyone know the ram configuration for TP's W520? Is it 2x2gb or 1x4gb?

also, is the model upgradable? I understand it is only assembled on demand. Thanks

depends on what you want to upgrade. if its something like ram or a different harddisk, its probably not an issue.

i had to jump through hoops in order to add WWAN to my T410 last year.

thanks for the quick reply. i'll probably just want to make sure the ram is on a 1x4gb config as i plan to add another 4gb myself.

not too sure if it is worth the money to upgrade the lcd screen to full hd though. Any views on this?

No that is not true. If Lenovo did not drop their official pricing of their old models Juzz One has no obligation to even if they know it is old stocks.
That is how screwed up pricing actually is. AFAIK only for Acer do you see price drop gradually when phasing out old models by 1 or 2 hundred dollars but I don't think this is going to continue if Acer goes the way of Crapple.

Many PC brand including Acer drop the price of old model when new model is about to roll out. For example. 3820T and TG model, last few week the price is dropping. Yesterday 3820TG is selling at $999 with ext DVD writter to make the price different between 3820TG and 3830TG.

I would say this is a right way to do otherwise those dealer will all stuck with old model. It is also fair for their potential customer as one may choose to go for the price if they do not need features on new model.

Full HD covers the non full HD resolution. What do you think ?
I think HD is better if you watch movies of type to develop web page/programs.

The rumor is 20th May though I have doubts. Even so, SG has to wait at last a month or two. Look at X220, still no sign of it here yet. Is there?
