Comgateway, shipping usd38

That's good price. The original lenovo box is dirty. That means they didn't repackage into a bigger box, like what borderlinx did to me. Cost me double in shipping. Will use Comgateway for future purchase. Thanks for sharing.

If i buy from lenovo US and upgrade to the i7 cpu, will it include a USB 3.0 slot? I'm asking because it's not explicitly stated there.

yes, only i7 has a USB 3 slot...:(

So it will definitely be included even tho not explicitly stated?

I also saw this thing about 'Lenovo USB Modem'. Not sure what it is but u need to pay to get it. I thought by default the USB modem just requires a USB slot to work? If so then what's this 'Lenovo USB Modem' about? Also requires u to pay to get it.

Very tempted to buy from them, gonna use comgateway like you but still a little uneasy cuz things might go wrong.

The USB modem is a dial-up modem with a phone line socket. You dont need that unless you intend to work in some third-world country..:s13:

No, is build in. Internally it use the USB interface just like blue tooth.
Actually if you compare all spec, plus years of warranty, bag, and possible different in win 7 license. You may find it is not much different unless you happen to get the good exchange rate when the credit card company bill you.

@ nicholasii - Yup, just purchase the power lead cable and it will work. For the warranty, you will need to purchase it online from the Lenovo US website. I understand you will need to speak to the customer representative to make the purchase.

Hi guys,need some help.

I am intending to upgrade my current HDD 7200rpm to a Seagate Momentus XT.Saw it in action on a friend's notebook and its really fast.

Question is,can i just use my recovery disc to boot up the Momentus XT?I have nothing much in my current HDD so a fresh factory copy is fine with me.

My main concern is if this does not work, how do i copy my entire drive over including the hidden ThinkVantage partition?

Oh,how many recovery disc do you guys have?I created my recovery disc using the Thinkvantage wizard but i only have 1 disc.Is it right?
