I ordered mine but not sure when it will arrive... there's the 1 little prob with this type of ultrabook, only 2 usb ports.

if 1 for ethernet usb, then left 1 for maybe harddrive... how to connect printer or anything else....

for those who plan to purchase the x1 carbon from US, the shipping fees for me when using Borderlinx is only USD 28.

so for a basic model, i got it at USD 1422 + USD 28 = USD 1450 = SGD 1769

that is still way cheaper than buying from SG :D

requesting proof that you bought it from the States (ie you did not use CGW)

oh yes! haha, eg you were at lenovo store in eg California to purchase your thinkpad.
went to service centre the other day and asked them about this.
quite funny that even though it's IWS, if purchased via CGW it doesn't apply.
quite smart they've become.

That sucks... Then it would be harder to buy from the States.... in future...

But hows the new models build?

My W520 the Battery is slightly loose at at the connecting area, and the Headphone/Mic jack still emits squeaks even when I'm using a non-AC powered USB speaker from Mini-X...

OK, I will need to read my terms and conditions?

Looks like the people at Thinkpad Changi are in for many small claims trial. Or their in house counsel is inexperience.
