Finally... what is the difference between "Restore your backups" and "Recover to factory contents"?

Restore to Factory is to activate the hidden recovery codes to wipe out the entire drive and flush in the factory default.

Restore your backups will be used to restore your last Rapid Restore backup image which will include your Apps and data. Something like an image but compressed.

Yes you can.

You can also use it the other way around but you will notice that the screen will flicker because the X series uses 56W AC Adapter while the T30 uses 72W. But the charging will be slower

I am having a T30 at the moment but I would like to upgrade my RAM. But what type of RAM is T30 using. Can anyone advise me? Thanks

T30 uses the same memory as the T40.

512MB RAM

For those of you who are interested on the Samsung 512MB RAM which I bought for the upgrade of my thinkpad. Kindly send me an email at lito@mycabezas.org.

BTW, please note that the seller is from the Philippines.

I also want the contact! Can I just buy one 512 mb ram from him? Is there any compatibility issue if i already have other brands of ram inside my laptop?

Please email me at the email address I posted on my previous posting.

Regarding compatibility, actually at first I tried using the installed 256MB (Infineon) and the Samsung 512MB and it work perfectly even if I used the Windows Memory Diagnostic program I got from MS. Basically the test will boot your PC to text based program where in it will run several memory tests that will make sure that Windows will run. Anyway, since the price is not that bad, I decided to get 2pcs so that I will have 1GB already. This is also to avoid (if ever) compatibility issue. Even though the tests are good.

Now my problem is dispossing my Infineon 256MB Memory. Anyone who wants to buy it? Basically I have 2 pcs since I have also the one that came from my friend's thinkpad.

X22 Ethernet Port

Anyone knows which driver do I need to activate the Ethernet port on X22? I have tried searching on IBM sites and found two drivers, but while installation, Windows 2k prompt that the drivers are not made for the hardware.

Btw, model number is 2662-41A
