This years sales should be coming soon. But no idea if it would only be for IBM staffs or open to public like the one 2 years ago. Their warehouse sales really sells laptop at real low prices which one can hardly resist.

Well, they have had a few warehouse sales internally now.

IBM has closed the warehouse in Singapore and I heard there might be one more coming soon (To clear old inventory still left in there). If this one happens, which I hope it does, will be potentially the last one.

But you can forget about latest and the greatest since the way the do supply now is via the factory directly to the customer and business partner.

Why dont you use Access Connections? It helps to manage your wired and wireless profiles on IP Settings, Printers, etc.

Just checked with my friends in the PC Division.

NO MORE WAREHOUSE SALES Because they have cleared all their current inventory back to the factories. So nothing to sell loh. You can only rely on Tradeshows where they have existing inventory to clear since some retailers would have been over stuffed by the Principles such as HP and IBM.

Well. it's usually due to your Wireless card/router.

1) Make sure you have the latest firmware for Access Point / Router. Seen many of such problems on NetGear APRs.

2) Firmware for Wireless Cards are equally important.

3) Last , make sure your drivers and BIOS are of the latest.

My X20 has been going strong for my sister for a long time.

T40 :
2 x PCMCIA Slot
Titanium Composite Carbon Fibre Material on bottom.
Magnesium Alloy on top.
Very slim box.
Pentium M processors only
Supports full Docking Station.
3 years warranty standard.

R40 :
1 x PCMCIA Slot
ABS Plastic in used for both top and bottom=Thicker design.
Pentium M or Pentium 4-Mobile processors . but same thickness.
Supports only Mini-Dock. No full Dock Support
Most R40 are 1 year warranty. By the time you upgrade to 3 years warranty, you are only about 1-3 hundred dollars different from T40
