Last I read from some forumers that US Lenovo will not ship the ThinkPad to Singapore direct and not even to couriers.

The alternate solution is to get your friends who reside in US or on tour to buy and bring back for you.

If alternate solution is not feasible, have to buy from local like me. :(
Amazon can shipped to SG if you know how....

@bigfoot, You shipped to SG before? Mind sharing your secret?

Any different from the local bought unit compare to the US unit? (e.g: power adapter, etc)
Is the warranty accepted in local service centre if there is any problem? (Else I will have to sent back to US to repair)

OR

Best if anyone know where I can get a personal customized new X1 carbon in SG? :s21:

For your info, I've bought a ThinkPad T440s in Dec 2013 and X240 this month. Both are bought from US.

Official Lenovo/Thinkpad US online website?

Is your T440s & X240 cover by warranty?
How you shipped in?

Thanks for your reply!!!

Anyone would be kind enough to share how to buy from Amazon or eBay either T540 or W540? I am looking for a desktop replacement workstation in the form of W540.

Thanks

Lenovo laptops can only trust the Thinkpad series. Other types will not be reliable.

However, for the new X1 Carbon, please bear in mind that caps lock button is no longer there.

They have also replaced the F1-F10 keys with adaptive keys which is not practical.

Buying from Lenovo US Online Shop

Has anyone buy from Lenovo US Online Shop and shipped to Borderlinx or some similar service before? Thinking of trying this avenue but not sure if it works.

Need Help!

My thinkpad W520 cant boot up, with my adapter plugged in.
Indicators lights on, then dies off.

Plugged out adapter, insert a new battery, it boots just a bit further.
Error message "0190: Critical low-battery error" and then dies off.

Suspect motherboard is fried...

Just checked Lenovo warranty. Still seems under warranty but I need to bring to depot for servicing.

Where is the depot in Singapore?

Is it still at Changi or now at Kaki Bukit or Upper Bukit Timah Road?

Thanks bros.

I think it's the one at Kaki Bukit, shifted from Changi.

The Upper Bukit Timah service the IdeaPads.

It's best to call them prior to making the trip coz my previous X1C required service under warranty and the technician came to my place to troubleshoot and replace the faulty part on site.

Anyone know where in SLS I can get the drive caddy for the 520? Wanna replace my DVDRom with an SSD.

I checked the Lenovo showrooms in Funan but they said it would take 6 weeks and cost 99, which is insane.
