Yes correct. Typo.
Question is which is better?
using CC letting it charge 3.25%
or
via amaze to change to local currency , charging CC with local currency (I’m guessing there’s no additional charges from the CC since it’s a local charge)

Unless you are aiming a certain promo or requirement that need you to spend in foreign currency (most geared towards miles cards) then u stick to being charged the foreign currency. Otherwise I'll prefer to be charged in sgd and still get the relevant rebates (be it online or a certain type of MCC spend)

Using DBS Live Fresh: 5%-3.25% = 1.75% effective rebate
Using CIMB World MasterCard linked with Amaze: 1.5%, no additional fee
Are the above correct?
Except that CIMB Card works for almost all MCC.

Correct but not sure why u are using these 2 cards in particular for comparison. Assuming u are talking about online txn in foreign currency think best to use dbs wwmc/ citi rewards mc with Amaze.

People want to play cashback, not miles.

Don't forget that DBS Live Fresh has $400 online cap and $600 min spend.

Have people confirmed both cards earn 10X (4 mpd) with Amaze?

You are right. I'm just trying to figure out the mechanism of the fees.
I'm doing cashback and miles, with cashback as priority. But there are some foreign transactions I make that I can't get miles for because of MCC or exclusions, and I'm forced to use 1.5% cards.
This makes me wonder if it's better to use 1.5% card/Amaze or Standard Chartered Spree/ICBC Global Travel MasterCard, which gives 3% for foreign transactions.
But looking at the 3.25% fees, it's better to use 1.5% card plus Amaze.

For foreign txn where u are forced to use icbc global travel (can share what these txn are), think you can use via Amaze instead 1.5% instead of 0.5% (3%-2.5% fees). No reason to use Spree card, 3.5% fee.

Payments that go through Paypal, and online courses that classify under education MCC, I can't get 5% cashback or 4mpd for them, so I'll have to go the 1.5% route.

Did you manage to add your ICBC Global Travel card to the Amaze card? Card was not accepted when I tried. No issues with other SG issued Mastercards (with the exception of GPMC of course).

You only applied 2 weeks ago. Believe the page you submitted is the same as what we used to submit in the past, where it will ask for delivery address and name on card. Subsequently it will be on a waiting basis, submission does not mean it gets sent out.

The card currently offered available currently in limited basis for those that signed up back in 2019. This will be labelled with the wordings "Founders Edition" on the card.

Instarem did not manage to fix the error. They told me they have informed ICBC to fix it from their end
