Drivers and stability issues all ok for me so far since 6 months after I bought my A770, only performance issues left.

But then due to the amount of AAA slop games, it gets better with age as we all start playing older games on discount and game devs start patching their games to support XeSS

Intel uncaps XeSS Multi Frame Generation for Arc A770 with driver update, card gets a second life

Intel has expanded XeSS 3 Multi Frame Generation support with graphics driver 32.0.101.8509 WHQL.
The release notes list extended platform support that now includes Arc B-Series and Arc A-Series discrete GPUs, plus several Core Ultra iGPU platforms.

Bruh sorry to say this but with a CPU that old, the B580 might not run properly. With that said, there are other options to tweak it so that at least it boots into Windows with a working display.

I did have similar issues (literally once the driver is installed, BSOD) with my build on Zen 3 architecture, it wasn't until I turned some virtualization and/or secure boot settings off in the BIOS that fixed the issue.

Also the no-display problem, turn off iGPU in BIOS if possible, or force graphics init to PCI-E devices first.
but there are test on youtube pairing this card with 9600kf leh

I've tried changing PCIE speed and type to Gen 2.0, still cannot work. mine is kf so no igpu.

option 1: return the card and keep using my 1070
option 2: china mobo with 13600kf ($320), not gonna spend more money for DDR5 ram

any suggestions?

Just because Youtube can doesn't mean you can..see the system requirements here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...hics/intel-arc-dedicated-graphics-family.html. Minimum supported spec is 10th gen CPU, if it's older then it's "best effort" basis. You can say you suay la...

Personally I'd recommend you either return or buy used 10th to 14th gen Intel CPU + mobo on DDR4 (or even AMD Zen3 CPU + mobo) on Carousell

Motherboard

  • Full-size PCI Express 3.0 (or newer) x16 slot
  • Resizable (Re-Size) BAR enabled

Power Supply

  • 600 W power rating minimum with a PCIe 8-pin cable.
Compatibility Support Module (CSM) or Legacy Mode must be disabled, and UEFI boot mode must be Enabled.

Ensure the following settings are set to Enabled (or Auto if the Enabled option is not present):
  1. Above 4G Decoding
  2. Re-Size BAR Support

It could be that you have not toggled dsc on your monitor. Nearly all the monitors currently out there have to use dp dsc to support 4k 144 (for both sdr and hdr) and above because dp 2.1 only recently began appearing on monitors, mostly the more expensive ones. Otherwise, it would default to 4k 60 which is close to the highest (around 75) it can go on DP 1.4 without DSC if using HDR, 120 max if using SDR. Assuming you have a gpu that can support it as well.

Alternatively, you can use HDMI 2.1 for true (without compression) native 4k 144 HDR, no need toggle dsc.

In other words, both ends (gpu and monitor) as well as cable need to have dp 2.1 to natively support 4k 144. Otherwise, DSC is required.
