i wont buy the idea of facetime. the reason of this apps is try to simplify.
i got a small suggest.

Yes, this is a good suggestion.

My only worry is when the SMS icon is pressed:

• Will it go straight to my existing SMS-es with the person?
  
• Or start a brand new SMS to type?

I believe it will be better if it goes straight to existing SMS-es as SMS history can also be viewed.


Overall, I believe it will be a great app for the elderly, or the plain lazy..

Yea, useful to a certain extend, cause the Favorite page at the "Phone" section does almost the same thing..

I suddenly thought of something.. If he adds the SMS feature, wouldn't it defeats the purpose of having a one-step dialing process?

one step call or sms.
kids and old era also do sms too.
they will feel easy if click on the face of that person wish to contact. rather than search from lines and name..
and if user accidentally press the face icon, user still need to choose to call or sms. so wont directly call and waste airtime.

action louder than words

i feel cheated liao. cannot create any face icon. tried 3-4 times diff name n contact still cannot. TS please clear the issue.

As a local developer, there are just so many venue to create awareness. Seeing how other developer has successfully created awareness via HWZ forum, I thought it would be great if the same goes for my app. I definitely think Quick Dialer might be a good app to have which is why I am apparent why apple did not have it.

If Mod think this is a sale thread, please delete it. The purpose is really to create awareness for the app.

Here's a tip:
Using spotlight, you can search for the name which the photo icon is named after.
From there, you can just tap to call!
Please do not tap the name with the contact book icon. This will bring you to the contact app and you got to multipe tap. This is useful for scenario whereby your photo icon is not on the main page and you "sort of" lost the photo icon.

For those who bought the name, I will add the SMS feature ASAP. Of course, this will be subjected to Apple approval process which can be long and tedious. The SMS feature might take a while also due to making the app works with the current speed dial and to support the new feature

please do update soon and break thru the bottleneck for sms.

I don't think they have anything against you. Just that, your app comes with a price so it is classified as sales thread. If your app is free, then the awareness intention will not be an issue.

awareness - gives free

price - sale items.

clearly you are trying to earn $ from this post. no offense though.
