Backup your device before updating!
When is iOS 10 being released?
Should I use iTunes or OTA?
I tried to update, but it says I'm up-to-date on iOS 9.3.5
Nope, still no go. It's already 1am bro.
The OTA failed.
My battery is draining so fast/my device is so warm and slow
My phone wants me to press the home button to unlock. And I don't want this.

OTA is the fastest

Turn off WiFi, make sure you're able to connect to the internet through your cellular provider.
- Double click your home button
- Close the "Settings" App
- Open the settings app again and head to General -> Software Update

The servers are probably being hit hard by everyone trying to update. Go catch some rest and update tomorrow. It's just an update.
The OTA failed.
Don't panic, go to your Macintosh or PC and plug in your iPhone (make sure iTunes is up-to-date) and when your device appears. Select the option to update, not restore. You should be able able to get your device with the data retained.
If it doesn't work, you'll need to attempt a restore, and then retrieve the data from the backup you've made earlier

It's fine, it's perfectly normal, your iPhone is indexing your photos and all.
If you're plugged in, it's normal as well because iPhone has this a feature that make use of machine learning to identify objects in your photos to make it easily searchable.
How long it'll take depends on the number of photos you have in your Photo Library.

There's an option to remove this setting. Simply go to
- General
- Accessilbity
- Home Button
- Make sure the option "Rest Finger to Open" is toggled
