Same same but different. Mini 4 uses A8 (Dual Core) with 2GB RAM. Air 2 uses A8X (Triple Core) with 2GB RAM.

Haha im always torn between these 2 form factor especially during iPad Air vs Mini 2 era. Air 2 vs Mini 3 is no brainer.

What are the things we could possibly miss using iPad Mini?

I tried in store for reading, browsing, read manga, a bit of gaming, social media. All seem good. Only lacking is for productivity such as office apps. Bigger screen really helps for me. On the other hand, holding iPad Air on 1 hand in the bus while reading/browsing is not really convenient (or maybe im just not used to)

Actually A8 & A8X is in 1 generation. The X normally indicates higher performance and in Air 2 case, much higher graphic power. Processing-power wise it does not differ so much with Mini 4 for single-core performance.
