Firstly I'm not able to restore my backup to my new iPad mini. Hung at slide to upgrade.

So I heck it, decided to use the iPad as a new ipad. Who knows my iPad is unable to rotate. Reset still can't get it going. Going to trigger an exchange tomorrow.

Any bros face the same issues as me?

Guess you got a lemon. No issue restoring from a mini2 backup to mini4. No issue with rotation, etc.

so far ok on my iPhones, iPad Air 2, and iPad Mini 4

Still learning the split screen on my Air 2..sometimes work sometimes cannot move the screens of some apps.. maybe the apps are not resize-enabled.

Quick review:

1. Restore from icloud back up works perfectly and fast.

2. Rotation lock works - you need to access the master menu from the bottom.

3. ios 9 works fine with no lag.

4. Split screen works but the 2 screens become quite small cos ipad mini screen is not very big No good for old man eyes.

5. Overall it is a fast and smooth tablet, but I upgraded from ipad mini 1, so your expectations may be higher.

The thing is.. iPad Air 3 is going to come with an A9/A9X(clocked less because the A9X is really a beast) which is this year's processor, next year
The iPad Air 2 is actually very powerful when it came out in 2014 which is why they didn't update it this year as they still can hold against anything you throw at it

Kind of sad the iPad Air won't get the latest and greatest speed/performance/features from now on since they will be focusing more on the iPad Pro now :/

No noticeable difference except the size. Air 2 can throw anything currently to it and it can run.

If Air 3 come out, sell Air 2 and get Air 3 LOL

Unless size is really a concern, the iPad air 2 still seems like a better deal to me. Especially since I can pick up a refurbished iPad air 2 from the online Apple store cheaper than the iPad mini 4.

A8X is that much more powerful than A8 chip.

Official announcement. The mini 4 is now available at stores here! I just bought my 64GB wifi gold colour from Nubox Tampines earlier on.

Bad news is, they do not have any cases and screen protectors available now so my mini 4 will have to be 'naked' for a while.

I got ipad air 1. Wanted upgrade to ipad air 3... pro screen too big. Air 2 is 2014 model not worth buying cause 2016 coming. Sibei sian leh. I feel the mini screen too small

Ipad air three is not coming any time soon la. Next ipad update will be next year Oct/Nov alrdy. Dont know who anyhow say air 3 coming soon. But

Is it me or is it the colour gamut of the mini 4 is on par with the Air 2? Seems like a lot brighter than my mini 2.
