bro u hav any good case to recommend online? I wanna get a case b4 buying the mini.

or at JB? I m goin in on the 7th. lolx

I m still struggling to decide WiFi or cellular! most prob WiFi blah

WiFi coz I can hotspot when needed. now everywhere also hav WiFi

cellular coz I hav 2 SIM card sitting in my phone n itchy for convenience sake la

I'm using a case like this, even for my iPad Air. It gives me a choice to use the whole case for a better protection, or I can just remove the outer part and just have the back case.

I personally go for cellular, saving myself from the hassle of thinking/deciding/regretting. I don't use public WiFi either, and hotel room WiFi only when I've my laptop with me.

I kinda regret getting wifi device. Like handicapped, can only use where there is wifi

Did anyone try calling with your sim card, like using myrepublic talk app, or any other option?

Just tried My Simba app for you. Tried opening and got this:

Not Supported
Unfortunately your device is not supported, we are sorry for this inconvenience.

Thanks for doing that, I don't have simba, but I did download the app and it said not compatible. I downloaded the myrepublic talk app and it can open fine, so I'm wondering if it really can use or is there any other option

Just sharing for those who would like to use their ipad mini cellular as a backup phone travelling oversea. I always bring two phones while I travel but with this ipad mini, you can now use it as a backup, in case your phone break down or u lost it.
To use it to call and to have a data plan back at home, myrepublic could be your option. It has a talk app which you can use to call like a normal phone. So far Simba also have a talking app but it is not compatible. So if you want to get yourselves a data plan locally, can consider myrepublic as you can also use it as a phone. But there are some challenges which you need to take note.
Take only the physical sim and not the esim. Because when you setup the talk app, you need to receive sms to verify, with ipad mini, you can't receive sms. So, for registering the talk app on your ipad mini, first insert the sim to your phone first, and then download the app to your ipad mini and follow the instructions. Thereafter, you can use the sim in your ipad mini.
I am not advertising for myrepublic, but just sharing what I have done, some might find it useful...Happy new year...:)

anyone can comment whether apps like microsoft Teams & outlook work as well on mini 6 compared to an iphone?

not sure if your "work phone" scenario involves whatsapp, FYI, no whatsapp app on ipados

workaround is use web whatsapp, but sometimes iffy, as u need to set safari browser in ipad to desktop mode, to be able to use web whatsapp

telegram available as app

dont really need whatsapp/telegram.
Main apps needed are ms office related - outlook, teams, powerpoint, word etc.

basically to check emails, teams msg and read documents

Anyone know which paperlike SP which can be used on case with high bumper? I just got one but found bubbles created at the side due to the case.
