it seems to me the adapter is the culprit.

I think the iPad mini tell the charger to stop charging, thinking it had reach 100%. So the charger stop. So you plug to iPhone 5 also will not charge. So once you power on and off the charger, it reset, so it start to charge again. I maybe wrong on this. I did not try to plug into my iPhone 5, but I do power On and off the charger while the cable is still plug into my iPad mini, still will not charge until I reboot my iPad mini, then it start to charge again. This may have something to do with the wrong reporting of iPad mini battery status which can be say battery calibration issue.

a 12W adapter works like a charm. the adapter doesn't get as hot as the 5W. i seriously think the 5W adapter is overworking, and the heat generated is simply too high that it cuts off for safety reason. :/

anw, thanks for the tip! 12W adapter seriously is a good buy.

Ermmm. But I tried for 1 hour already....still AppStore issue?...I just downloaded finished speedtest App after 10-15mins zzz

maybe u can try doing a speedtest n post the result? if ur surfing speed is fast, i think the problem lies more on appstore server.

are u using 5GHz or 2.4GHz band?

Same issue

I have bought the new ipad mini, the apps downloading part is super duper slow. I have downloaded dropbox for over 10 mins. Downloading speedtest app for about 10 mins, still quarterly loading.

I wonder is it my ipad mini a faulty set? or appstore is slow??

Please someone help us!! i bought from challenger, black 16gb wifi only

It could be due to the connection to AppStore's server that is lagging. It's between ISP and AppStore server. Even if the other websites maybe running smoothly, the traffic route that ur ISP is routing to AppStore server maybe suboptimal, hence experiencing the lag time. This is just a possibility.

U can try using other ISP Internet to try to see if the problem persist. If it can download normally, then the problem doesn't lies with ur ipad.
