I just tried using my hse fiber to dl a 14mb app from AppStore, it dl in less than 1 min. I'm using viewqwest btw.
Yoz... VQ's connection/routing has been optimized for several general Apple-related destinations. iTunes servers are one of them. ;)

It could be due to the connection to AppStore's server that is lagging. It's between ISP and AppStore server. Even if the other websites maybe running smoothly, the traffic route that ur ISP is routing to AppStore server maybe suboptimal, hence experiencing the lag time. This is just a possibility.

U can try using other ISP Internet to try to see if the problem persist. If it can download normally, then the problem doesn't lies with ur ipad.

OK latest update:

i went to my parent's house to try out starhub 10mbps network wifi...surprisingly it took 10 mins for a 400mb micky mouse file....

just reached home and try again on singtel optic fibre...downloading straits times app....since 10mins ago...still downloading...WTF..

i'm going to call Singtel tomorrow to see what they say about this...if nothing is done...congrats to Singtel...they just lost another customer...

Fail, stuck at 90% again. I unplug the charger without turning it off to charge my iPhone 5 and iPad 4. None of it will start to charge. Need to power on and off the charger in order to charge, might be charger issue.

ya like that is confirm charger problem,do you happen to have any other 5W charger ? say iphone 4/4S,iphone 5 ? if have then can even confirm if the charger that came with the mini having bad batch problem or is it that the 5W charger can't hander long charging hours.

Hi, the charger I use all along is my iPhone 5 charger. My original iPad Mini charger is still in the box. I have try using my ipad 3 and ipad 4 2A charger. It can charge up to 100% perfectly. But strange is that this iPhone 5 charger can perfectly charge my iphone to 100% but not iPad Mini. Both using the same model of charger leh.

Exactly the same issue as mine. I seriously think it got to do with the heat of the charger. My 5W charger is very much warmer than it the 12W charger during charging.

But the possibility that the ipad Mini's fault is possible though. I try using a 3rd 5W wall plug maybe 2nite. To triple confirm the issue.

if you can charge the mini to 100% without problem with ipad charger then i guess there is nothing wrong with the mini it self,i dun have mini now else i will join in the testing and give feed back.

oh one more thing can also test, charge the mini with the included 5W charger from say 80-90% onwards and see if it does goes all the way to 100% full by doing that we can also confirm that the 5W charger has not over heat and shut down by itself.

can charge through computer? i plug to usb port no charging. sync only.

I read it somewhere where ppl mentioned that it's charging, just very slow.

I tried plugging into my macbook air usb3.0 port, the charging icon appeared.
