Honestly for 11, unless got any major WWDC announcement, don’t see how m1 is gonna be that useful

Not too sure for the iPad, but on Mac it’s a speed demon. My 2018 iPad Pro is already fast as of now and this M1 should make it even speedier than ever.

Yeah tbh seems like 2018,2020 and 2021 11 inch iPad Pro is more or less gonna be the same for general use. Not much real world diff

That was why initially I was contemplting to change my 2018 model to the 2021 model, which I was quite set on it.

Next year the 11” model might have mini-LED screen, but those were just rumours.

i am still on the 2018 pro model. Bought in 2020 because of the no brainer promo from challenger. (2018 vs 2020 wasnt a big deal upgrade back then)
Its still a beast today base on the stuff that i do on the ipad.

I ordered the 11 maxed out version .

Used both sizes before and 12.9 with the mini led sounds great, I opt for portability, something I can use one handed on buses, mrt...
Mini LED and LCD got difference. Just like LCD and OLED on iPhones.

I would go for 12.9” anytime. Not cause of mini LED, but cause 12.9” can do more things. My first iPad Pro 2018 was 12.9”, then 11”. Changed to 11” 2020 recently and find it too small, then just nice 12.9” 2020 got discount so bought the 2020 instead. I foresee that I will get 2021 but not so soon

It is possible that they will bill you and give you the receipt separately. Are you buying the iPad Pro 2021 model? If so, they will bill you later as the delivery date is towards the end of May.

That is normal since Apple Pencil is in stock and will ship first, similar to the folio. You will get another email for iPad Pro 2021 once it is shipped nearing 21 May.

Woohoo, gotten the 12.9 inch. For those getting the 12.9, which keyboard case are you all getting?

Haha, Im considering that as well. Just felt that it's quite inflexible if I want to sketch or write. The white looks nice though.

The M1 chip is indeed powerful, but I feel it may be under utilized running most if not all the mobile apps on iPad version of iOS. So it is likely you won't feel any difference, unless you are gaming on it because the GPU is uber powerful for an iGPU.

To me, the main draw for this year's 12.9 inch iPad Pro is the screen. That screen will be great for multimedia and photo editing.

I wonder… does anyone play infinite flight on iPad Pro 2021? Keen to know if it lags a bit when the there are many players online at the same time. I’m using the iPad Pro 2018 12.9 and I do experience dropped frames and some freezing occasionally when airspace gets busy. Considering upgrading to the M1 iPad Pro if it is much better.

I do play a bit of games on my iPad but not too often. The 12.9 model is all about the mini-LED screen and is selling like hotcakes. For someone who likes lugging my iPad out, 11" makes more sense unless you don't mind the size and weight.
