Blooming is common in LED panel, just like any LED TV. Of cos, if the algorithm is well controlled, blooming will be minimized but not eliminated.

iPad Pro blooming is more apparent if used at the low brightness and a dark background.

Blooming is not that obvious with auto-brightness.

Not that noticeable in day time unless you're really looking for it.

At night time, brightness automatically lower so there's no high contrast to show the blooming more obviously.

I've both 2018 and 2021 models. Yeah Mini LED you can get darker blacks. But it's not worth the upgrade (my opinion) from 2018/2020 models.

I saw Mobyshop is carrying Paperlike but Paperlike brand is very expensive (almost $70). I would suggest u to get Spigen Paper touch (can't remember the exact name), similar to Paperlike but half the price. Else, if u can wait, get from here better.

Why should it be blocking? The 2021 model has less speaker holes and are slightly larger.

Hi iPad Gurus, I have nv own an iPad and seeking advice if I shld get an iPad Pro (2021) 11” over a M/S SP8

I am looking for a personal laptop having gone without one for the past 8 years. My key usage are:

1. Content consumption: Web browsing, news, media, e-book
2. Productivity: MS suite (.doc, .xls, .ppt), On-screen content snipping
3. Communication: Emailing, VC, web messaging (Whatsapp/Wechat)
4. Organisation: File management

Hardware requirement: Portability, monitor extension.

While I prefer the versatility of a tablet to facilitate content consumption and working on the go and around home, I also wanted a tablet that is powerful enough in the form of a laptop replacement. I identified the upcoming M/S SP8 and IPP 2021 11” as my only 2 choices. While the SP8 will potentially fit the bill, it is yet to be launched and is likely to be more exp than IPP Pro. I am waiting for WWDC in June to discover wat improvement will come to the M1 IPP esp on the iPadOS for screen extension and producvity. I would like to ask for your opinion as follow:

• Is iPadOS user friendly for MS suite, I need a fully functional MS suite.
• Ease of file management like M/S File Explorer
• Do U think Cellular is unnecessary when we have wifi at home and can hot-spot to our mobile outside home?
• Is Apple Pencil unnecessary for normal user like me and more like something fancy for user who draw or make notes on their tablet?
• Is AppleCare+ necessary?
