Wondering how are you guys are handling this eSIM situation.

I used to swap my spare phone SIM to iPad when I need to and since this is not possible now, the only way forward is to either sign up for a new eSIM data plan or forego cellular altogether and rely on hotspot..

I’m thinking of taking up mobileshare plus to utilise the 5G and data of primary plan but not sure if it’s eSIM compatible..
Mobileshare plus is only from Singtel. This telco has a habit of stacking extra undisclosed charges upon signup: SIM registration & activation fee $40 per sim. Better check with the sales ppl at Singtel shops.

How do I purchase an eSIM or switch from a physical SIM to eSIM? How much does it cost?
  • Choose a phone plan and select eSIM as your SIM type.
  • eSIM fee will be waived for all first-time users (new number, port-in, recontract).
  • If your contract has not ended but you want to switch to an eSIM, this is chargeable at $10.90.

yea, that’s what I’m trying to avoid, all the hidden costs and unknown limitations can add up and make it more worthwhile to just go for a sim only plan with some MVNO.. I’m also contemplating going full on WiFi only

I went full wifi after using cellular for years. Not a good experience. Connection to iPhone hotspot outside is slow so most of the time I have to manually connect. Reaching home, it stays connected to my iPhone hotspot and ignores my home wifi…. Has to manually reconnect
Anyone has different experience? Not sure if I am doing something wrong.
I googled and found the problem. When going out, I need to not manually switch to hotspot because iOS is soooo smart that it takes it as I preferred the hotspot over my home wifi. I need to just wait for the iPad to connect automatically when home wifi dies. I also need to manually switch to my home wifi when I arrive home so it remembers to prioritise my home wifi. I also turned off background refresh. My iPad connected to my home network automatically now.

anybody on Circles Life? does the esim work on ipad pro?
Basically all eSIM will work for iPad Pro 2024.
words of advice. Their reputation is not so good. Been con a few time.…

Got a company promo with code, after the final check out, the price is not correct, and I ask the CSO, they claim that I have promo code expired, or the checking out procedure miss out so info, that why it original price…
I did ask why I still receive the email about the promotion, they will said I have to check the detail and the date.

other case is my colleague, suddenly 100GB/mth will went down to 20-30GB / mth. They call the CSO and they request screen capture prove, so that they can ask their backend Technical to check. But my colleague didnt keep any.

… I think you can still find some feedback online like Facebook…

If you wish to try there is lot like my republic …etc

As 1st time owner of M4 Ipad, it is clear to me, Apple chose to cripple the legacy (Windows/Unix) mouse support. Totally unusable.

Clearly a market segmentation behaviour to prevent the Ipad from becoming a laptop. That means I will not buy too many Apple devices to avoid lock-in.

Anyone here using pencil pro? I noticed it leaves some minor marks on the magnetic contact points where it attaches to the iPad Pro frame. Is this normal?

I using this protection for all my Apple Pencils (gen 1, gen 2, pro)…. No such problem, can charge, can color code and better grip. 😅

Yes it's normal. On my Pencil 2 it's the same.
