I was hoping for more ....
even with the nerf, 3.3%-1.8%= 1.5% better than nothing?anyone know if ipaymy work on dbs live 5% or EVOL 8%? trying to find an alternative to UOB ONE nerf
you asked the wrong party, they probably have no clue how iPayMy works at all. you know what you're doing and answered yourself, banks works on T&Cs and for this card there is no exclusion nor explicitly spelled out as a merchant excluded. Can I check with you guys that ipaymy x UOB One still works for the quarterly cashback?
I used ipaymy to settle my monthly tax payments using UOB One for the first time this month. Just called in today (being last day of month) to check with the bank whether it is eligible and the CSO said it is not eligible - it's a form of top-up. Yet the merchant code (7399) is not part of the exclusion list.
as this is my first month of a new quarter - I wanted to get some peace of mind that the CSO is the one who's gotten her info wrong. so, for those using ipaymy x UOB One - the transactions still eligible for cashback?
I certainly hope that she's the one who got it wrong but she did put me through around 20 minutes of to-and-fro while trying to check with her end and telling me based on her "system" it's showing up as not eligible.you asked the wrong party, they probably have no clue how iPayMy works at all. you know what you're doing and answered yourself, banks works on T&Cs and for this card there is no exclusion nor explicitly spelled out as a merchant excluded.
It’s things like this that eventually gets the bank to put on exclusion listsI certainly hope that she's the one who got it wrong but she did put me through around 20 minutes of to-and-fro while trying to check with her end and telling me based on her "system" it's showing up as not eligible.
But before the call end, she did say she will forward the enquiry and to expect a call within the next 5 working days.
As it's the bank that ultimately gives the cashback, should I not get a confirmation from the bank? Who should I check with instead?

i always refer to t&c, like prev mentioned always check the exclusion list, mcc codes (if any), and spelled out merchants exclusions. if don't get the benefits, i take it as tuition fee. no hard and fast about it.As it's the bank that ultimately gives the cashback, should I not get a confirmation from the bank? It's not like cheating. But I think once the bank start to see more interest flowing in and eats into their profit, they might start to exclude it, like the case with amaze. Besides cards that work with CardUp or iPayMy and give cashback are much rarer than miles card. So it is better to not give them any reason to look into it.if such a question can put ipaymy on the exclusion list, it means it's not worth using it in the first place. I don't like to 'cheat' just to earn cash back.
ipaymy (and cardup) has been around for a number of years now. it's a shame if we cannot discuss this publicly and have to be scared of being put on the exclusion. anyway, we're paying them for their service too - so it's not like we're doing anything illegal.

thanks.. I did check their FAQs... but as you said it's from ipaymy's pov not the bank. the bank is the one issuing the cashback so I feel ultimately they have to be the one to say yes it's eligible, not ipaymy.https://help.ipaymy.com/en/articles/3153490-which-cards-can-earn-rewards-with-ipaymy
not sure if this will help you .... this is from ipaymy point of view.
Just want to check how many of you are using iPayMy recurring payment? Can we stop the payment for a month or two, or change credit credit for a particular month?
Nowadays iPayMy issues less and less promo codes.. It is hard to get 1.85% promo code..
Thanks hwmook. Recurring yet paying 1 month only. Hee!Yes, you can do so. Can just edit the single payment itself to pay a different amount or different date.
From 1 Aug according to uob one card website.Anyone confirm ipaymy does not earn cash back from uob one card from July?
