Is it a better option to go from X 256GB to 11 128GB or just make do with the current X and get a battery replacement over at apple? Reason for not going for the Pro Series is due to the high cost of it, hence the option of the normal 11.

Which one save more money? Go that route. Don’t just buy for the sack of buying. Go to Apple store to play with the 11 then decide.

Is it still a good time to get XS or XS Max even though it's out of production? Or just get 11, think only pros is the battery life and better camera right?

Yes 11 should have better batt life than even XS Max due to efficiency of A13 processor as well. Cameras needless to say. =:p

Thanks for the reviews! I'll consider 11 in that case, however I'll miss that OLED used in XS. :(

11 is using the liquid LCD found in XR and also in the current iPad Pro. Comparing my iPad Pro to my XS Max, when they’re in use you can’t really spot much of a difference as the liquid LCD is still very vibrant.

But if you’re comparing to the 11 Pro/11 Pro Max, colours on it is better and more vibrant due to the Super Retina XDR display which is also said to be the same display used on the Pro Display XDR.

In simple words dont compare side by side with a 11 pro or 11 pro max you are fine :s13: you have been warned!

If you can get it for a steep discount, I would recommend XS Max and not the smaller XS. I won't recommend XS only because of the very small battery capacity.

Comparing XS Max to 11 Pro Max, below are the shortfalls,

1) Camera - No wide angle and night mode on XS series (night mode is available through paid for app)

2) Screen is brighter and "better" on the 11 series - I actually don't feel it is a deal breaker. The XS Max screen is very good in the first place and not lacking in brightness

3) Smaller battery than 11 - With close to a 25% bigger battery, it not unexpected the 11 Pro Max beats the XS Max. Still not a deal breaker for me because the XS Max can still last me 2 days of usage. I normally end the day with about 60% or more.

4) Processor - While it is faster on the 11 series, I actually don't feel it is a problem anymore. For both A12 and A13, there is nothing it can't run and honestly, both feels just as snappy.

In short, if you can get it for a steep discount, then go for it. If you are paying close to full price for it, then look elsewhere. The iPhone 11 is a better deal if you need to pay full price for the last gen models.

Go to the shop and do a visual comparison. I don't actually feel the OLED screens are significantly better than the IPS screen on the iPhone 11. Because of the small screen size, the lost in resolution on the iPhone 11 is not obvious unless you deliberately scrutinize it. In fact the lower resolution contributed to better performance and battery life for the iPhone 11.

The other key difference which I feel is apparent is the screen brightness between iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11. The former is brighter than the latter. But compared to the XS OLED, I believe the IPS on the iPhone 11 is almost as bright.
