Not exactly the same. This year iPhone 11 display support HDR10 and Dolby Vision so there are improvements.

Anyway, iPhone XR display wins most of the 1080p display last year so this LCD is no slouch.

So.. 11 or pro ?

Already ordered MG 11 pro.. tempt to go 11.. but afraid of the “ used to OLED”

Are you using the X? I suggest you go try out the XR (don’t compare side-by-side) and see if you are okay with it.

Watch videos, view photos and game on it. These are the functions where they’ll test out the LCD. You’ll have your answer. Everyone has different sensitivity and perception to things so what works for one doesn’t mean it will work for you.

calling it e same name doesn't mean it's e same. n I wonder y e feature was killed after 1 iteration :s22:

So what exactly does Apple Face ID do? Taking a 3D image of multiple points on face? Cos I think that's what Huawei did as well. Anything else?

Are you guys really able to spot the diff in screen quality between LCD and OLED displays?

I feel like as an average consumer myself my usage cycles between social media, movie streaming and light gaming will not have a impact on the screen quality performance unless you really take both phones and compare side by side?

Meanwhile the difference that I can really feel is the battery life? I think changing my X to 11 will have a huge batt improvement with the new bionic chip and bigger battery size now..

Initially I couldn't tell the difference or perhaps my eyes said the difference didn't warrant the high price of the X/XS. But I spent some time with the Note 10 recently and the only magical thing I notice is how black is really black in OLED! I know what I said is common knowledge, but I was blown away and I think the inky blacks will go well with Dark Mode on iOS 13.

Cancelled my 11 pro and ordered 11 128gb yellow . Cant justify that $400 extra.. dont flame me thou . Hopefully 2020 “pro” model will be more add ons to justify the difference

I'm surprised that this time round, the smaller Pro supposedly has got better battery life than the 11.

I don't think you lose out a lot this generation la, Pro model only has a few things "better" than XR:

1. Telephoto lens vs no Telephoto
2. 4x4 WIFI MIMO vs 2x2 WIFI
3. OLED screen vs LCD
4. Smaller bezels vs Slightly thiccer bezels
5. Stainless steel frame vs aluminum frame
6. Frosted back, glossy camera vs Glossy back, frosted camera

I think that's about it. I myself using XR now but really don't know if I should get 11 and sell XR. Really poisoned by yellow, green and purple colors...

If you are not losing out a lot then you can consider to jump. If you need to fork out like 400-500, then forget it, stick to your XR.
