iPhone 11/11 Pro

Coming from a OnePlus 7 pro , I don’t find the oled quality on my 11 pro very high quality leh...the colours not as punchy as the oled on the OnePlus 7 pro.

Apple would rather use a high quality LCD display then to fit in a low quality OLED display.

That’s not to say Apple won’t fit all iPhones with OLED next year

Yeah that’s for sure because the display on the android manufacturer are always over saturated and not a true representation of the colour. The OLED display on the iPhone are factory calibrated to almost deltaE1 in terms of colour accuracy which is why it looks very organic and very important for photo and video taking.

Guys, you guys have any issue about the wifi/ telco signal? Does it weak compare to 7 or 8 series? Because my wife will upgrade her phone another 2 weeks. Currently she using 7 plus (SH) .

I was planning to recontract and get iPhone 11 Pro, but in a bit of dilemma now due to the screen size. I tried it and was quite surprised/disappointed that the screen size seems smaller than my current Samsung S8. While the iPhone 11's screen size felt just about right for me.

Hence, I am more inclined to the iPhone 11 now although if i do so, it is a slight bummer that I won't get the "Pro" aspects like telephoto, matte body, better display (not that the display matters much to me since i could barely notice any difference against the Pro?).

What do you guys think, especially on screen size? haha

Punchy colours does not mean high quality. It could be signs of bad calibration on the top vibrant screens.

You can try this. Download this image and take both phones with this image into a dim lit room. You can see the quality and calibration done to the screens you should see a perfect and uniform gradient from black to grey. Almost all OLED android phones fail this.

Yeah, everytime I see those high end android phone, the colors are sooooo saturated!
It's like eating too much cotton candy and then suddenly feeling sick in the stomach. While everything is colorful, you just feel uncomfortable knowing at the back of the head that this is not a true representation of the real world.

Both S8 and iPhone 11 Pro have the same display size. However, iPhone 11 fitted the 5.8” into a smaller chassis compared to S8.

Thanks! I think that explains why I felt that the iPhone 11 Pro was surprisingly smaller than the S8. Might just get it then.... since I am ok with the S8 display size.

Deep fushion is another technology altogether. It’s outputting image directly from the neural core which no one has achieved so far.

The description seems very much similar to what is used to get night mode photos. Am amazed by the low noise and high quality for night mode. Some websites refer to it as day night mode lol
