So they just slapped their own face lol :s13:

Every MNC will have TnC to cover themselves. They choose when to invoke it. In the case of Apple, they’ll know who are the reseller and genuine user based on the account.

SP once opened of course cannot refund!! I mean the adhesive is already exposed so definitely cannot refund

Because already stuck to screen and cannot be re-used. I myself have sacrificed some SPs and some are very expensive.

But what to do, device needed to be replaced.

Just came back from the Apple Store, manage to get a replacement Pro Max but it came with a white box, took awhile to replace as the technician couldn't see the display issue and he told me they would have to repair it instead of a replacement but I ask him if repair would take how long, he wasn't sure cause its a new phone so replacement parts are barely available.

So he had to talk to the manager to get a replacement, it was approved and told me my replacement was the last set they had for MG 512GB (lucky I guess?). Nevertheless no issues with the new unit.

Yes replacement sets always come in a white box and are not refurbished sets. These replacement sets are set aside for customers who needed for any reason/s, get they in-warranty devices for 1-1 exchange.

Always try to get a 1-1 exchange if possible unless a repair has to be done instead. You're indeed lucky, when I sent my nearly out of warranty rose gold iPad Pro (2017) 64GB wifi for 1-1, it was the second last piece.

Replacement and refurbished units have different initial model number. However, both are refurbished set as they are not brand new from retail unit.

Reason for different initial model number is to segregate between replacement (refurbished) unit and refurbished unit bought directly from the refurbished store.

Yes. New retail units are M models.
Replacement units are N models.
Refurbished units are F models.

F models are those old model iPhones that have gone thru refurbish process and are being resold by Apple in their Apple Store online.

Got a color issue with the screen and uniformity issues. Does anyone know if in the future I want to sell my phone, will it hurt the price as currently my device S/N is different than the box.

Normal consumer won’t bother so long the phone is in good condition and working as per normal. However, Ah beng shop will try to carrot you.

I previously asked an Apple Store staff if the new replacement unit is a refurbished unit and was told no. The model number M (retail) and N (replacement unit) is just to differentiate the device bought new at Apple Store or telcos to one that has been brought in to Apple Store and did a full device replacement.

How to disable the double clicking of the power button to download apps?

Never had that when I was using the XS Max.

You bought the phone from Apple Store? Or telco?

And yes, if device s/n is different from box, will deduct amount. I just confirmed this from the ah Beng shop I sold my 11 Pro to. 😂
