I feel wide angle lens is a big upgrade. All the photos will now be much wider. And night mode greatly improved. Also the front camera is 12mp now, it had been 7mp for several yrs

If u have $ to burn, then by all means get iPhone 11 Pro max. If not then iPhone 11. Everyone want too specs but if u can't afford, then have to settle for next best thing lo.

If not XS Max also a good option since the price is around $1480 for new

XS has 2X optical zoom lens

Weakness:
11 screen is lower resolution LCD
11 doesn't have 2x optical zoom
XS Max will still be more expensive
XS Max won't have wide angle lens
XS Max will be using older processor which is less battery efficient and less powerful

I guess it largely depends on whether you are using this phone as your main camera device. If it is, I would say the IP11 would be a better choice due to it's dual wide angle lens and night mode support. You can always wait for a while before getting it at MS/RWM as I'm sure the price of IP11 will also drop by then.

Simple. Unless you really need that Tele lens, you should go for the iPhone 11.

In everyday use, both phones are as good. Apple has the best LCD display and you won’t notice a difference in that lower resolution display unless you compare both phones side by side.

Idk about you, but there’s a huge difference between LCD and OLED. lol.

Lcd vs Oled is like white tasting. Personally it is not obvious unless you put it side by side or u stare at the screen from a very close angle. I agree most will say iPhone 11 not as sharp due to inferior screen but again...

Yeah it's 2x if you count the wide angle lens to normal lens. It's effectively 2x zoom

To be honest I also rarely use the telephoto with my XS Max. Even with my P30 Pro, the 10X optical(50xdigital) zoom I only used just to play around with people. I did take some close shots of building or architectural shots from far away. And damn the photos are very good quality. But it's rarely used. I mostly use normal lens and the zoom for group photo shots and landscape.
