Aiya if were to compare like that, Android to iOS, Samsung Huawei to Apple, iPhone confirm lose.

But many will still go for the iPhone. Why? Because it works, and works well. Everything comes together perfectly. They may not be the first in anything, but they do it the best.

I have to say, this is going worse and worse. It’s a fact last time. Nowadays for every new iOS, bugs everywhere. Last time it’s optimised, now, maybe iOS x.3 den you get the works perfectly together version. Though I still update them. It’s just annoying to get random bugs.
Look at MagSafe, how is everything perfect together

I think the camera comparison is a subjective argument. It is even more so if you compare between different brands.

In other words, people might prefer the picture colours on a Samsung phone over iPhone or vice versa.

I don’t know about the folks here but I’m getting the 12 Pro Max over the 12 Pro because of the bigger screen and not because of the better camera.

Ohh and I love the return of the flat sides/edges design!

Ya me too. Getting pro max for bigger screen and higher screen resolution. 6.1 inch still feel small to me , my past few phones average 6.4 inches or higher lol.

what do you guys think about 12 mini battery life?

I tried holding 12 and 12 Pro but find that they're really quite "wide" and holding with right hand. quite hard to reach to the extreme left of they keyboard. and it's worse on 12 Pro because it's so hefty.

but I watch reviews on 12 mini and seems like battery life is cui... if really bad then maybe regular 12 is the better buy. using SE 2020 now and it goes from about 90-20 battery in 6 hours. hope for better.

Interesting discussion here. Add my 2 cts
1) not much difference if lighting is ideal (not even from 11PM, let alone 12 pro)
2) visible low light enhancements as compared to 12P and 11ProMax, more so when nightmode is not enabled)
3) speed of nightmode can be up to 3 times faster due to the larger sensor (1 sec for 12pm as compared to 3 sec for 12P)

In addition, much improvement in Low light video (probably the best).

I am sold and will keep my order

huawei camera the best among androids. too bad no gms.

samsung still peddling exynos models in sg. the s20 fe looks interesting, but got wonky touchscreen issues. some got issue, some no problem. dono hardware or software issue

xiaomi mi10u got good cameras. too bad no global model.

pixel pay so much get midrange processor and outdated camera hardware.

seems like the pieces are slowly falling in place for ipon 12 pm.

Well it may be true that their iOS test team has slacken over the years. But also the ecosystem is much bigger and has more complex new features, so more bugs are bound to appear.

As a software developer myself, I truly understand the bugs will always be there and developmental testing can only uncover so much. True real world usage will reveal more, though it's not nice to leave it to consumers to find out the bugs, but that is unavoidable. And hey, at least they fixed them.

Well MagSafe, it does work? And the concept is there, it works as described. Just not to your expectations.

What I will say is that it’s nice having the kind of ecosystem and services support an Apple device gets you. I spent 3 years buying cheapo AliExpress cases for my Huawei phones and coming back to iPhone, accessory variety is so much wider. Gaming on iOS is better as that’s where most of the indie stuff is. Whatever Apple does, no matter how lame, is almost guaranteed to become the industry standard. It’s a walled garden, no doubt, but most users are comfortable with it.

That is true. Because they managed to create such a huge customer base such that everything they do will be substantial. Therefore companies will hop onto the bandwagon for third-party support. Customer see the large variety, they'll get Apple. It's a loop.

Re screen size.. unless a larger and heavier phone really gives u muscle or joint pain, I think most users get used to either 12p or 12pm size after a few days. I’ve used 6.5 size and now back to 6.1. It’s a big diff side by side but you get used to whatever change in screen size.

So if budget is not an issue I would choose based on the features you need (or don’t need) with screen size and weight as secondary concerns

Would imagine the mini to perform marginally better than the SE
