Yes, happens to me as well. Seems key apps like FB will hang when wifi and 4G signal are weak ... I usually do a restart, but will try switch airplane mode on and off next time. This never happens to me in all my previous multi generational iPhone. this is the first time... hope they can fix this “bug”, if it is one.

It only happens to me when I’m on Low power mode, or surrounding 4G signal outside is weak. UOB mighty app hang. Location service is turned off for that app.

No need to restart bro. Too slow le for machine to reboot. Just turn on airplane mode. Wait 2 secs. Then turn off airplane mode.

Close swipe up your app in the background, and reopen. Wouldn’t hang already.

Airplane mode doesn't work for me. Happens even when at home with strong wifi. My M1 only usually 2 bar at home though.

I got it too. Music volume doesnt work. Press up or down doesnt work. Restart ok liao. ip12 regular.

Anyone having to restart their ip12 every 1-2 days due to freeze.
I get freeze even when not accessing banking apps.
Sometimes even when going to settings > apps settings

After restart, i get missed notifications from hours ago.

A lot of photos bro. Just google the key word “12 pro Max gap gate”, and a lot of search match for discussions in macrumours forum. YouTube too.

Happens to everyone in the whole world, Netherlands, India, US, etc.

I also can’t deduce is it ‘first batch issue’ or Heng sway issue.

But I’ve read someone with similar gap issue in AW6, and went swimming with it. No issue with ip68.

Thanks. I did a search using your keyword and wow it's so common worldwide. Quite shocking that there's such manufacturing fault. They probably knew about this but pushed it to consumers anyway.

so i went to Apple Orchard again today to do the replacement
prior to exchange, the genius and i tested 3 demo sets on display
they all exhibit the same gap issue.
he then talked to a "senior" whom then talk to me and assured me that it will not affect the IP rating of the phone since there is a rubber seal between the screen.
in the end we still went ahead with the exchange and my new set was also same.
the genius said, its up to me, i can leave with me current set or leave with the new set.

Saw on Reddit, they said it’s within tolerance. Don’t worry too much bah.

Try deny location access for DBS app and see if it helps. I had no issue after denying location access for DBS app.

Experienced immediate heating issue when open UOB app, turned off location services no use

And the app prompts me to allow it to connect to devices on local network, duno what **** is this when I didn’t even open the app.

Ocbc app opened and login n click around a min or two, batt drops >10%.

I duno is iphone12 sux or All these bank apps freaking fail. Fml. Sometimes I wonder should I just get an android and get used to non Apple

If you have just restored from a back up or transferred across from another device it will take awhile for the device to settle down. Though it is very very unlikely that any battery can drain so quickly like that.

It is asking to connect to local network cause it will scan for devices connected on the network that you are connected to to find malicious devices and listeners.

I’m curious what phone did your get specifically?

12 mini, already have had e phone for a week +. I’m surprised by how much e battery drained earlier, in a couple of mins just clicking around on the ocbc app; n opening HWZ app to make a post here. It dropped from 46% to 31% in a span of less than 5mins in total. that’s worse than me playing games

Wow that is bad. Your reason is one that is putting off for awhile from getting the mini. Really hoping that Apple will release an update of the iOS soon. Anyways for the past week or so that you have been using the mini, are you able to last it for a day?
