No need to use it all day long. Just a short while can cause problem even when you close the app in the background. Just now experienced iPhone settings hanging and no network issue (while 4g signal is full bar). Deleted the banking app and connection immediately came back and settings back to normal!

Had a chat with DBS live chat and they claimed the issues had been resolved in iOS 14.3. I told him I am still having problem in iOS 14.4. :s13: Everyone should go live chat with them! He can't believe as it is the 1st time he heard of this issue since it was supposedly fixed in iOS 14.3.

S20 still new, no need to change bah.

For the Face ID stuff, do the alternate face scan with your mask halfway on(plenty of guides on Google), suffer with PIN unlock for about 2 weeks while the machine learning thingie in your phone learns your face, then have it suddenly work with your mask on and then rejoice. I’ve got it working to a point where I don’t really miss the lack of a fingerprint scanner any more, but I’m not gonna lie, the first few weeks are f’ing rough.

My iPhone 12 Pro Max can unlock when I’m using my mask. I’m using the Uniqlo Black mask. Trained until can recognise me.

It took me few months I think to train LOL
But I didn’t setup alternate face appearance.

hi there, anybody knows if i recontract online with starhub but i’m not home to receive my new phone via delivery, will they be able to leave it with my family members?

what do you mean by training for a few mths? Face authentication doesnt have incremental registration mode.

Either it get it or dont get it, do you mean you try to register for many mths until it get it?

No. What I meant was, every time you wear your mask and you tried to unlock and it can’t recognise you, you just use passcode to unlock. Every successful unlock after failing to recognise you using passcode will train the AI to gradually recognise you? (I think so?) I did it for a few months, since I got the phone until now. 1 day out of the blue, it just suddenly recognised me and was able to unlock even wearing my mask. I didn’t set alternate appearance so it took the phone longer to do that.



He did it for 20 minutes uh non-stop, abit hardcore, I took few months hahaha.

Actually Face ID does learn to a certain degree. If you keep failing to unlock with Face ID and it prompts for passcode. Entering the correct pin will have your face quickly scanned and it would update the Face ID data.

If there is a more significant change in your appearance, like shaving a full beard, Face ID confirms your identity by using your passcode before it updates your face data. Can. Write a letter of authorization and leave your original ic with your family member. They must also produce their original ic.
