Why buy MagSafe charger for android phone? You can get other chargers which can charge at 10-15w if the phone support

Cuz my Sammy Fast Charge Wireless Pad is malfunctioning. Causing battery depletion for my Galaxy Watch and AirPods Pro when it's supposed to be charging. These little devices only support 5W charging so it's perfect for the magsafe.

Eventually going to fully convert to the Apple Ecosystem, so...

How is the magsafe portable when you still need a charger for it to work??
As in u can charge and use the phone at the same time bah

But of course it jus an additional plus point that android can make use of it but no one will buy official apple product for android bah, maybe third party one

Sent from Samsung SM-G985F using GAGT

Next 2 yrs will be interesting for Android base phones. Phone makers like Oppo, one plus, xiaomi have been working on their own proprietary fast charging. If Apple does move to port-less phone next yr or 2022, would like to see how Android reacts.

Android in general is so, so far ahead in wired fast charging it would be hilarious if these makers suddenly dropped it and started working on a Magsafe copy.

When Apple stop providing inbox chargers and earphones, Android camp will also follow soon, just give them 1-2 years. Apple is the trend setter, others will have no choice but follow.

The gold iPhone 12 Pro is said to have a more durable stainless steel frame.

According to TechCruch’s Matthew Panzarino, though, not all iPhone 12 Pros are finished the same way. The gold model, in particular, uses a different coating method.

Matthew Panzarino, in his review (emphasis mine):

Most of the iPhone 12 Pro finishes still use a physical vapor deposition process for edge coating. But the new gold (which I do not have in person but looks great) uses a special high-power, impulse magnetron sputtering (HiPIMS) process that lays down the coating in a super dense pattern, allowing it to be tough and super bright with a molecular structure that mimics the stainless steel underneath — making it more durable than “standard” PVD. One side effect is that it’s easier to wipe clean and takes on less fingerprints, something that my blue model was, uh, definitely prone to.

Everyone going for gold now?

It will, but not so soon and not all will follow. Android phones are bringing back 3.5 jack now. They somehow knew, following apple might not be the right way. And esp the 3 markers i mentioned above, they have spend tons on USB-C charging that they are far ahead of apple now.

Actually, not all. Androids have a choice. It's not like apple go this way, i need to follow. Maybe for a while, then they will revert back.

Friday please do not go apple store. It will be full of people. Stay at home and wait for the phone to come to you.

I've had 40w charging on my P30p from last year, and OnePlus just put out a phone that has a 65w charger included. Meanwhile iOS users are still content using the 5w charger. There's been fast charging on iPhones since the 8, but since Apple bundled these piddly little things in their phones all the way until the regular 11, I guess fast charging on Apple never really took off?
