Just got back from MBS Apple. Please check your iPhone12/12Pro carefully before accepting anything. They will try to convince you to take your iPhone with a 14-day return/exchange policy and set up elsewhere under the pretext of covid.

All the boxes come sticker-sealed, which can be sealed back if rejected.The first box they brought out had pin marks at the SIM tray which indicated to me someone has used it before and returned. I rejected it. Also go during the day when there is enough daylight to detect any imperfections.

The 12 Pro Gold in particular looks really good if that's your thing. It looks better than the Silver. But taste is personal.

You can also bring along your own case and try it on with the demo MagSafe chargers and see if yours work. I brought along my 12 pro Otterbox Defender, it doesn't work with MS despite being a thiner case than the 11pro. Generally fooling around with the gallery of iPhones with MagSafe chargers, I'll say it doesn't work 100% even when bareback without any case. But try it for yourself.

Another example of this year iPhone Pro series really very susceptible to scratches. Lightning port and sim tray areas. Guys pls open up your sets to check.

Wondering if anyone can help me..

I'm trying to transfer data from my
wife's ip7 (128gb) to ip12 (64gb). I installed google photos on her ip7 few months ago and confirmed her photos were all on google photos under her account.

Weird thing is, after I deleted all the photos in the ios photo app, the photos also went missing in google photos! Is this a problem with Google and ios?

Her whatsapp backup is at 7gb. I can't upload to icloud since it's only 5gb free. Is there another way to transfer her whatsapp over to the new phone?

Easiest way is to sign up for more icloud storage for 1 month, backup to icloud, then restore to new phone. Then cancel and go back to free 5GB plan. 50GB is $1.28 and 200GB is $3.98 monthly

Oh yes, so I chose 12 instead of 12 pro. Bought both and most likely going to return the pro.

- I managed to retrieve whatsapp backup on icloud, but somehow it can only retrieve the backup from 4 months ago, even though I just backup'd fresh copy 5mins ago

- still can't use the phone to phone transfer coz her ip7 is using about 80gb, new ip12 64gb niah.

So far, can't say I'm impressed with ios. Looks good on the outside, but once you really start using it then all the minor details start to come out.

Her old phone is 128 and already used 80 and you decided to buy her the 64? Why not get her the 128 and solve this once and for all. She will probably not get an optimal experience when she storage limit is reached unless you get her the iCloud so she can “optimise” the storage photos in icloud
