Old model latest version is iOS 14.2 only, as long you update your iPhone 7 to iOS 14.2 then shld be alright will not be screwed up
I believe once you opened your new iPhone 12, the version shld be iOS 14.2 so long you update your old iPhone 7 to iOS 14.2 to match your new 12 will be ok to migrate, just follow the instructions

As long you confirm all photo, video and etc all transferred in your new iPhone then you can start to erase all content in your old iPhone, nothing will happen to your new iPhone

Doesn’t matter if your are from any old iPhone model as long you update to the latest for both or same version (iPhone 6s and above)

collected...and now going phone to phone migration..wish me luck..

any 3rd party magsafe wallet to recommend? I ordered one from ali and the wallet didnt stick well to the phone..1 touch and drop off liao...crap..

Buy original de Hahaha if not keep trying 3rd party not certified by apple in the end you spend more lol

Unlock the phone? You actually don’t need to unlock the phone per say just double click the power button, authenticate using Faceid or your passcode then go ahead and scan.

Normally I would do this step of authentication before reaching the gantry. Works 100%
