Anyone know the mechanics of iCloud messages sync between old and new iPhone? Seems only select ones are getting synced and it seems to be a add on instead of delete all and resync from master device. How does it determine which device is the master and latest copy of messages?

All the bank apps worked for me when I was on iOS 14.2, including Citibank. Didn’t try BOC or Maybank. Suggest you delete and reinstall.

For iOS 14.3 beta 2, all works, except for UOB.

For faceid, Apple is very particular about security so you will need to reset faceid login to bank apps every time. In fact, even when you just change your faceid, you will need to do this process

i didn’t manage to get it to work for my phone, but it did with my dad’s subsequently and it was a great seamless experience

collected...and now going phone to phone migration..wish me luck..

any 3rd party magsafe wallet to recommend? I ordered one from ali and the wallet didnt stick well to the phone..1 touch and drop off liao...crap..

Anyway the new gpay app has biometric unlock for wireless payment.

when you double click the power button.
it bring up the apple pay interface.
it will try to authenticate with faceid
if faceid fails, it will prompt for password. similar to unlocking the phone.

LTA and apple should really speed up their express travel implementation!
When implemented it will work similarly to google pay now which is to wake up device(don't have to unlock) and tap. for transport usage

Don’t you guys find faceid rather impractical considering we are wearing masks almost all the time?

I use apple pay a lot for instore retail purchases. Just really glad apple still has the SE with touch id.

there are multiple ways to train faceid to be used with mask. and success rate has been >95% for me with mask. just takes abit of time and effort thou...

when i wore a mask, my unlock success rate only about 30% for black masks.
surgical and white (given by Gov) has higher success rates
but never >95%
