Anyone has WiFi issue on their iPhone 12? Mine seems a bit slower than expected. My old Samsung S10 can easily hit minimum 3xxMbps (on 5Ghz WiFi 6).

iPhone 12 >> 5ms, 230Mbps/244Mbps
iPad Air 3 >> 4ms, 234Mbps/262Mbps

Both devices were tested at the same spot (on 5Ghz). Router is just a wall away (direct distance is less than 2M).

Router: Asus AX3000 (Main) and AX56U (Mesh).

Anyone knows how to tell if the iPhone is on WiFi6?

Thanks.

Are you using wireless backhaul between the main AX3000 (TUF AX3000? Or RT-AX58U?) and the AX56U?

If yes then part of the 5GHz bandwidth is used for the wireless backhaul, and your wireless speed may get affected.

In this case, disconnect the AX56U and try again. Better to test at close range and not with a wall in between. Certain wall is pretty bad for wireless.

Firmware update on router: Done
Server: Singtel to Singtel
Reset iPhone network setting: Done

Speed is still the same.

Try Viewquest test server to see if there are differences.

Not the TOF, just RT-AX58U and AX56U. I didn’t set any settings in the router except the SSID and password. Everything else is auto.

if everything is set to auto, then u cannot expect the wifi to be setup to max performance. if u want max performance, "un-auto" the setting and set them by googling for the best wifi6 settings.

I think wireless backhaul isn't available in RT-AX58U. I have lower the control channel to 36. The speed has improved slightly.

I mean the connection between the AX58U and AX56U.

Using wired Ethernet cable: Ethernet backhaul.

Not using cable: wireless backhaul. Part of the 5GHz bandwidth will be used as the backhaul. Speed will be lower if connected to the AX58U than using Ethernet backhaul. Speed will be significantly lower if connected to the AX56U.

Suggestion: disconnect the AX56U and then test in front of the AX58U to see the wireless speed.

Anyone can share their experience on battery life of iphone 12 compare to iphone 11? Can it last a day with a single charge? Thanks.

How come I sense there is not much of a difference when I charge my iPhone 12 pro with a USB-c charger as compared to the normal 5 watts charger? Anyone the same? :s11:

You play genshin, and with 60fps on, my 11pro max also need 1-2 charge per day. All iphones will fall with this game. :D

Are you using the original or MFi USB C to Lightning cable? Some third party non-MFi cable doesn't support fast charging even though they are C to Lightning cable.

Was browsing and one promoter at Courts told me bet 12 and 12 pro, most ppl go for 12. Those who really want big ones go for 12 pro max. So it’s either 12 or pro max. The in between not so sellable.

Do you remember the battery percentage when you charge the phone? If the battery was higher at 80%, the Optimised Battery Charging will reduce the power to the phone. At 90%, it will reduce even more so as to preserve battery life. Maybe you can try unchecking Optimised Battery Charging to see if there's a difference.
