If u are going to get iphone13 then might as well get a 2nd hand iPhone 11 or even the Xs/Xr to tide u for the next 5-6 months. Your loss will be higher if u get ip12 now and sell it 5-6 months later

I notice the greatest Apple's innovation in iPhone 12 compared to Android phone makers is taking away the charger in the box :(

I just bought an iPhone 12 Pro Max 256 GB meant to be a gift.

iPhone never cease to amaze me with its exorbitant prices and spartan accessories inside the box.

I waited for a while for the prices to come down to a more affordable level and got it as a sealed set for $1,680.

I will stick to my cheap and good Android phone at $400 only :D
Considering the fact that the iPhone can easily last 4 or even 5 years in an optimal manner, the cost is quite justified.

don’t forget, a samsung s21 is almost as expensive or the higher end range phone like Xiaomi ultra11 has also crossed the 1k mark.

I still have a iphone7+ which is still smooth as butter when doing everyday tasks (minus off all the high end gaming etc) as compared to a 2 year old A30 Samsung.

i didnt force people to choose between android or iphone. not sure why you so offended.

As i am saying, ease of use or not doesnt imply why people choose apple over android. iphone by no means is easier to use. yes it is more fool proof and do not require that much tweaking like android but that does not mean it is easier to use

the banking apps heating up issue for example, you think those ah gong and ah ma knows what is going on? I have been testing on the allowing and deny of the permissions required by the banking apps and if thats the one that cause the heating up issue, and as long as i deny 1 of the permissions required, it will heat up

just sharing. and enjoy the long weekend. cheers
I have elderly parents happily using Android as well and I think for Android phones, their user friendliness is about there with iPhones

I think the biggest thing about Android is the “freedom” I enjoyed as compared to iPhone. Their range of phones from the basic cheap ones to the high end ones are also attractive because it will suit a wider range of pple.

But the built and the reliability of the Os by Apple is really the key to me using it as my primary phone, plus my work environment requires me to use Apple because of IT security policy and they have the IOS MDM backend.

It’s really not a Apple vs Android but more of what are you more comfortable with

yes I think that is crappy.

while I agree that we really do have a lot of chargers etc, but I don’t see why is it not an option to have or not to have.

Plus they have to change the charging cable to fit the new USB-C connector which means u cannot be using the old charger.....

I suppose iPhones will gradually slow down as the software throttles the phones to conserve battery life. iPhone 7 was launched in 2016, which was the first iPhone Apple throttled.

Apple Will Keep Throttling iPhones With Old Batteries. Here's How to Stop It

While it seemed like the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X might avoid the practice, Apple now says it will throttle them as well.

Okay, I just figured out that the old charger can be used but it is slow charging. The faster charging needs a new charger, which I have to buy

personally didn’t feel too much of the throttling because of the average day to day tasks. But like I mentioned, even the day to day tasks on iphone7 is even smoother than a 2 year old a30 speaks volume of how the iOS and apps are being optimized for each other

maybe I should be clearer.

the previous chargers and cables are all USB-A to lighting connector

the new iphone12 only provide Cable for USB-C to lightning connector.

ie, if u try to use ur new cable to charge ur phone, u need to have a charger with a USBC output (which all previous iPhone chargers are USBA output)

if ur old iPhone cable is still working, u can still use the old chargers.

I have been using the iPad 10W charger all these years to charge my iPhones+ iPad

Cancel AppleCare+ first before selling. you will be getting back what you paid for the AppleCare+ prorated.
oh wow didnt know can cancel after purchasing? whats the policy? we must cancel before 2nd year warranty starts or?

If u are going to get iphone13 then might as well get a 2nd hand iPhone 11 or even the Xs/Xr to tide u for the next 5-6 months. Your loss will be higher if u get ip12 now and sell it 5-6 months later

hmmm but not sure how the previous owner treats the phone, especially when buying off carouhell
