Jus wanna check… anyone started adopting/using the new 5G standalone sim from ST to test out the 5G infra here?

Quite interested in the results as mine will be activated nxt wk.

I did. on sim only plan. I tried the network at Comcentre itself and i did manage to cross pass the 1000mbps mark. but outside singtel building cannot liao lol. Yes as per petpet, can only get wifi speeds. no where near 1000mbps lol.

I think now for convenience sake (infrastructure).. many places maybe still running on nsa.

Unless in the future everywhere adopting sa liao... can hit wifi 6 speeds consistently (600-800 at home setup currently)... if not still difficult to work from home using purely 5G.

Went vivocity for some random tests.

At heart of vivo @1.

At basement lvl to dabao @ 2 and 3.

12mini now got the battery health of 96%. Drop 1% from 97% within 11days. How can I keep it drop below 80% within next 6 months? So that can change the battery free at Apple. Lol

I also just got 5G activated 2 days back for my 12 Pro Max due to a Singtel promo for selected Combo plan users. My M1 iPad Pro has 5G on M1. Comparing coverage, Singtel definitely has better coverage. Unfortunately where I work (airport), 5G coverage is not available for both networks.

Haha shiok alr. Did they issue u with a new sim? I realise that even though alot of places we can see the 5G sig on our phone, the speed is still @4G. I think non standalone band is still wayy too common.

My Singtel one is still using my existing SIM card, while the M1 one is a new line.

Yes agree. I think only specific places for Singtel such as VivoCity can achieve over 1Gbps while at my own home, it's only around 230Mbps, even slower than my fibre broadband.

Don't think M1 has standalone 5G now except for Singtel.
