Subjective.Sorry but I really don’t understand this obsession over battery life. Not ranting but just trying to understand if I miss anything.
Batteries are expected to deteriorate over time right? If you’re lucky to have good battery life after having the phone for a long time then that’s good.
But if your battery deteriorates there’s always the $99 replacement and it’s FOC if within 1 year warranty. $99 is 5% of the cost of a new phone or even less than 5% if you have higher end/capacity phones. Chances are most here will change phone every 2 years or less costing slightly around $2k (before adding accessories like screen protector, multiple casings) before their battery reaches 80% of original capacity.
So what’s really the issue about battery life? Please enlighten me.
Some people are anal about the numbers and some people prefer to use that as a benchmark when buying or selling used phones.
Some people mentally prepared to use the phone to its fullest extent (100%-0%) and just change the battery after 1-2 years.
Some like healthy charging habits to prolong the use of the phone over a span of 3-5 years without feeling a decrease in battery life.
