i tried many cheap lightning cable before. they will die eventually.

so now I use just branded ones. my favorite is the verbatim one. 2yrs warranty and is very durable too

my 2 verbatim cables failed. now trying $3 cables from aliexpress. so far good enough for me

So far verbatim never failed on me and there should be two year warranty unless you abused the cable.
Yet to activate the warranty so not sure what it cover also.

I'd rather buy the original Apple cable because if it goes kaput before 12 months, I can call Apple & get a free replacement. Done that twice - once for my 4s' cable and then for my 6+ cable.
