So impressed with the quality! Would believe if you told me it's taken frm DSLR.. Wonder why I can't take that kind of quality. Any tips?

No tips. Just need to have the feel and know when to press.

oh, i mean, the photos taken by the default camera are kind of soft

Which app are you using at the moment then?

I've been using the default app all these while, haven't try using Camera+ yet though even though I have it.

Me too. Somehow the interface of Camera+ seems confusing to me...

Default camera app is good.

Camera+ gives more option like exposure and focus at different point

Sometimes I lazy I just use default app

Seldom use Camera+ now. Default is usually good enough.

Will recommend ProHDR if you want those arty-farty HDR effects. I have the VSCO cam app. Very clean/flat interface.

i think i find out why i feel the photos a bit "soft" liao, or "dreamy dreamy"......

My casing not reached sg yet, so I am using it naked, with that pice of original transparent film still attached, and that actually covers the camera as well......

From Connect by DPReview:

Image quality under most conditions is among the top of the class of “conventional” smartphone camera units: you have to look to the Nokia Lumia 1020 to find something that’s hands-down better across the board, though in good light the best 13-megapixel sensors do capture more detail.

The camera app is supremely easy to use, and the 5s’ powerful processing makes for class-leading burst speed and excellent responsiveness. Users looking to upgrade from older iPhones shouldn’t be disappointed. That said, there’s nothing in the 5s that changes the fundamental balance of power in the mobile photography world: users committed to other OSes won’t necessarily see a reason to switch.

DXOMark Image Quality Assessment score is 76, just below the top ranked Nokia Lumia 808's 77.
