If lets say you have AppleCare +. Then near the end of the second year liao, phone still working but a lot of cosmetic issues. Can just pay the 100+ to exchange? Or must it really be damaged until cmi liao then can exchange?

Yup, I can confirm this is the cheapest way at the moment as screen replacement currently even from third party will cost you at lest 400-500.

I just dropped mine last week, able to call on Monday to buy ApplCare Plus, yesterday i managed to get it switched out for a replacement set.

So yes, it does cover screen and accidental damage. Just sharing.

Wife dropped her iPhone 6+ and cracked the screen. We've applecare +... Just wondering will the service center help with data transfer? Man backing up and restoring takes forever and id rather not have to do it. How long would it take for a replacement of the screen? Is it advisable doing that instead of getting a replacement refurbished unit?

For a variety of reasons such as privacy, security and etc, it is probably worth considering backing up (data on) iphone on your own, turning off services such as imessages and facetime before sending it in for service.

Indeed, doing this sometimes pretty bothersome, lengthy process is no fun, so perhaps considering delete photos, videos or data no longer needed before backing the phone.

unless u have applecare+ then go apple to get it fixed... or else with normal applecare, still need to pay a crazy amount of $398! the guy at the booth in QCD told me $550 for one to one exchange...
couldn't bring myself to pay that kind of money. ended up going to irepair at prinsep road, paid half the price to get it fixed and got it done in less than an hour! pretty satisfied. just that i don't know if the screen is original and whether my iphone warranty would be voided.
i've heard from many ppl that if the screen is original, warranty won't be voided. not sure how true that is.

I called apple to ask the same question as I thought replacing the screen via Ah Beng shop would cost less than $108.

Yea replacing the screen via a non apple authorized sc voids the remaining warranty.

I not sure bout outside, but i managed to find one online repair shop who does Doorstep service for my iphone 6 plus screen replacement for only $290!!!

$290 i rather spend $300 to have a one to one change with telco or apple if nv buy apple care+ lo at least it is a authorized screen

Duh...... But i past my 60 days alrdy n was not aware of apple care plus. I am sure many others are like me.... So...

if u bought apple care u only pay 108? for one to one exchange, if no apple care, u pay 300 for a one to one exchange, not sure about now, but last time 300$ will be able to exchange for one...in telco

I got my iphone 6 plus ytd from singtel shop at tamp and realised when i made a call in a crowded place, i had some difficulty hearing my caller. I compared my ip6 plus with my girlfriend's ip6 plus with voice messages and found out her phone earpiece was slightly louder. I tried many solutions like turning on and off hearing aid and phone noise cancellation but there wasnt any difference. I havent test another call in a crowded place for a second time but this bothers a little and was wondering if it would be enough to do a one for one exchange? And does anyone have problems with their phone earpiece?

Did you try to increase the volume with earpiece? Increase when u made the call otherwise it doesn't work

Yes i did. The volume was the highest when i made the call. Is it possible to make an exchange for this problem? I read forums where other people faced similar problems but that was during the early days of ip6. They suspected it was a software problem but since then ios 8 has updated a number of times alr. I dont think it has anything to do with the software..
