Anyone encountered that the X does not sound off the text messages alert or wake from it's sleep when a new sms comes in? This is rather intermittent as at times it does sound off and wakes up. Damn fustrated

Yep i did 1-1 exchange. My bluetooth motherboard have a problem and coincidentally my bottom left coating peeled off (maybe due to numerous time take out and put back from casing)

I spoke to the apple genius nicely la.

You changed colour or set only?

Googled and found that a few are also having this issue in the apple forum. Seems like its BT problem. Even thought no BT device is connected, the X will not sound off new sms received.

Wireless charging on iphone X

Anyone encountered IphX not fully charging wirelessly? Using the mophie and for some reason now the charging only goes to 80%. Wired charging goes full. Did a reset settings still the same (not the full erase all content tho).

Recently purchased the mophie wireless charging base too and charge my X everyday, and all the time goes to 100%, no issues.

Might be a faulty wireless charging unit? It has 2 years warranty though.

Faced the exact same issue as urs. Wireless did not charge to full. Max 80%.

Thereafter, the phone became lukewarm. Battery drain also very fast.

Ever since, never use wireless again. But mine is the IKEA wireless charging pad.

After consulting the forumers here, then I understood that it could be that the phone gets too hot whenever you charge for a long period of time. A suggestion is to charge the phone to full during the night time instead of charging it overnight.

Over the weekend, I charged from 26% to 100% (full charge 100%), took around 4 hrs. Wireless overall is slower but you trade for convenience. Hope 11.2 can reduce it to 3 hrs.

Thought of this but somehow cant think why it would be the charger. Always ~80%. the charger wouldnt know when the phone has reached the level.

The charger actually communicates to the phone being charged and knows when it reaches 100% so will just deliver low currents on standby at that level.

It shouldn't just stop at 80% as it's not a complete charge obviously. If you're able to use another X to test out (maybe friend's or colleague's) and see if it also stops at 80%. If it does, means the wireless base is faulty.

Here's how I monitor my X's charge status. It shows in real time the charging process and once fully charged, will show 'fully charged' with a plug logo. This app also shows your Apple Watch's battery life and raw data of the watch's battery capacity and voltage, all in real time.

This way, I'll know when to turn off the wireless charger without waking up my phone to see charge process all the time.
