What do you guys think of iPhone X battery generally? I came from ip6+ and I find iPhone X battery to be weaker than ip6+ despite switching off raise to wake, tap to wake, background refresh and location only some apps use while app is open:s22: I only charged my phone for 2 hours+ the first time I took it out of box doesn’t matter right?

And the vibration for iPhone X quite soft also? My old ip6+ vibrate loudly while ipx can barely hear the vibration sound

If your iPhone X display more white than other colours at any one time, esp web browsing where there are a lot of white parts at the sides, then your batt life can be worse than iPhone 6+.

This is intrinsic nature of OLED screens. The power consumption depends heavily on the content to be displayed whereas LCD's power consumption is constant no matter what content it displays.

That's why some of the Samsung phones in the earlier days tend to have black backgrounds than white.

To summarise, OLED only lights up pixels that are used while standard LCD/LED lights up all pixels, including black. Hence OLED uses less power and blacks are true blacks because the pixels are not used.

Pardon the stupid question, just want to confirm:o

9-10 hours is entirely on screen time or normal usage + lock mode?

I'm referring to [Usage] under Settings > Battery. [Standby] is much longer than 10hrs.

has anyone brought their IPhone X in extreme cold weather? like -20 or -30? did it work? or shut down immediately?

thanks.

Nope. But at around 0deg (i have no idea what's the exact temp), your camera flashlight will not work. You can activate it manually as a torchlight, but if you want to take photos it won't activate :s22:

Phone was still working fine in -5.

Iphone X lag

Hi, have any of you experience this issue on your iphone x?

My iphone was lagging, as in opening whatsapp chat was slower than usual, and after i read whatsapp messages, it is till appearing as unread message with the bubble notification appearing at the app. I also tried to turn on wifi by entering into the wifi page through the setting app. The screen hangs there and when i slide up to go to multitaking and back again, then it was then able to go into the wifi setting page. Social medial also don't load when i pull down to refresh. It just freezes then, so i had to close it through multitask page.

I closed all apps, switch off the phone and on again. Everything went back to normal after that. Well this was a one off issue, but just curious if any of the users here experience such issues before. Thanks!

Do you have screen protector on? Those are usually the cause of alot of touch screen issues.

I felt apple didn’t spend much time to optimized x much the Ui speed is inconsistent

But 3rd app speed is still ok
It’s due in built app is not optimized

Really? Built in apps work fantastic for my end. Don't the gestures and everything feel all so cohesive? Swipe right to go back and up to home. In iOS 11.3 the multitasking gesture is A LOT faster and easier to trigger
