Of course iPhone 7 Plus, 1080 with 401ppi.
Some people can see the difference while some cannot.

Good if those cannot see the difference, save some money

Bad in what ways? Viewing angles? Brightness? Colour? Contrast? Colour shifting? Clarity?

Bought the iPhone xr, previously was using 6s.

The improvements on the screen and whatsnot is obvious, and the size of the phone is just right imo.
Used for a day and I find the 6s small now.
Not fussy about the camera specs too.

A good buy in my opinion

Viewing display is very subjective and has nothing to do with tech savvy or not. Some can see the difference and some cannot. Some can see the difference but not bother by it. iPad and iPad Pro all only have 264ppi.

I think his year iPhones main improvement is the camera sensor size which is 30% bigger than iPhone X. Finally iPhones can take decent low light photos.

Yesterday when I tried my sister’s iPhone XR, I noticed that some apps haven’t updated to support the screen solution. An example is WhatsApp which looks blurry especially the text. This could be the reason why some feel that the screen is not good.

However, on an optimised app like Safari, the screen IMO is as sharp as my iPhone X.

7plus is 401 dpi, which is 25% higher than XR’s 326 dpi
Even when viewing it on the table side by side with the X or Xs, I can see the difference in the sharpness and also contrast

When viewing on safari or photos didn't realised that screen was a blur, just certain angle or enlarge it will notices that slightly blur on objects

If you look closely the text in safari look jagged in Xr as compared to 8 plus or xs.

dun look at them side by side.

if still not satisfied. pay top dollars for the flapship line. simple.

I just came out of the Apple store.

The XR is not bad as compared to the other 2 flagship phones. In fact I would prefer the size of XR compared to the the XS. When putting XR and XS side by side, the XS looks small. Seems like the CR is a sweet spot for phone. By the way I’m using a iPhone 7.

Aiya, if really for the bragging rights, then get XS/XS max. Otherwise I think the XR is suffice.

128GB going for 1299.
Was surprised that the price different is only $70!

Having say so, imma still waiting for the HK set. 2 physical SIM cards is just the decision factor for me to buy or break the deal

But over time your eyes will get used.

Last time my ipad mini higher ppi, new ipad lower ppi and i can see the sharper is reduced when surfing the net.

After some time, don’t really think much anymore.

One cons I’m facing now is going to the control centre. I have relatively large hands but I still feel like I need to adjust before reaching for the top right to swipe down. And sometimes the swipe doesn’t register maybe because of my finger not on the right area to trigger the gesture. Using assistive touch to bring down the CC for now. Hope someone can give a pro tip on this.

You can use the reachability feature (swipe down at the bottom area - same as the area to swipe up to home), to bring down the screen, and then swipe down at the top right area of the screen (which has been brought down).

After about a day’s use of the XR, I really do not notice any difference in the screen sharpness coming from my 7 plus. This one is really subjective.

I really love Face ID and and it’s integration into Apple Pay.

Everything feels snappier as compared to my 7 plus, and the camera on the XR is top notch. I can easily snap portrait photos and don’t need to get up close like the dual camera iPhones. Low light portrait is also way nicer on the XR.

Really have no regrets. Cheers guys and enjoy your XR!
