S$1111 for 128GB. haha.
Anyway, finally done with the review.
I actually really like the XR, more than I thought I would. I think most people will see it as being inferior to the iPhone XS, but I think that's not doing any justice to the XR. The XR is the "default" flagship iPhone to get, and if you just ignore the XS for a bit, it's every bit a flagship phone that can go toe to toe with other Android flagships. It's the same as how iPhone 7/7 Plus was, even though it doesn't look amazing on paper, the iPhone 7 can still compete with top android phones. iPhone X/XS is in like an "ultra-premium" category now that is one step above the normal flagship phones. A bit like how Huawei does it with their regular flagship, and then they have a porsche edition too.
Anyway, if I am shopping for a new phone, and want an iPhone, I'll go XR over the XS. I don't mind the screen, bezels, 3D Touch, so I rather save the money. I don't have issue with the pixel density too. I was always quite content with iPhone 8's screen, and actually because the XR has a bigger screen, I find myself holding it a little further away from my eyes while using it.
The user experience is almost the same as XS, and it's still a really complete package. water resistance, stereo speakers, same great wide-angle camera (don't really use tele anyway), same great performance. I also really like the colour options, and I'll rather have the better battery life.
When i compare this to the Pixel 3... it's hard to justify paying more. Based on the price on RWM ah, it's 1080 for 128GB XR, 1280 for the 128GB Pixel 3 (and if you want bigger screen, it's 1420). Having owned both, even if they were the same price, I'll still choose XR. So I feel like it's actually quite good value for money (or maybe the Pixel 3 feels overpriced. lol)
Too bad sales doesn't seem to be performing as well according to rumours. It's a really nice phone.
